Never underestimate the power of one douche bag Red Sox fan stopping everyone and screaming, “Hey, look at me, I’m a douche bag Red Sox fan!”

I'll be in NY June 21'st thru the 25th. Coincidentally, the good guys will be in town too. Should I rock a DAT shirt?

Definitely won't be an arse. I'll be bringing my son and my 2 year old twin daughters. Not exactly the time to start crap.

Be careful with your little ones in the Bronx though. Yankee stadium is a beautiful park, as much as I hate to admit it, but it is located in a sketchy area. Just don't find yourself down any dark alleys or back streets if it's a night game and you are trying to find your way back to the train.

I hope Bregman hits for the cycle during the game you go to

Locked up Presley through 2021, trying to lock up Bregs too apparently:

quote:

In addition to locking up Pressly, the #Astros have been in talks on an extension for 3B Alex Bregman, sources tell The Athletic. Bregman has two-plus years of service - the same level Mike Trout was at when he agreed to a six-year, $144.5M deal with the #Angels in 2014.

I don’t think Bregman is the type to take less than open market value, and Luhnow is not the type to pay full price when he doesnt have to.

Bregs held a grudge not getting drafted out of high school, then not being taken first overall out of LSU. But, if an agreement should be reached prior to the end of this season, I feel like Correa is good as gone, and I don’t think it would bode well for team chemistry to finish this year.

Excellent.

quote:

Reliever Ryan Pressly is in agreement with the Houston Astros on a two-year, $17.5M contract extension, a source familiar with the deal tells ESPN. The deal will buy out two years of free agency for Pressly, who the Astros acquired last July

There is an option on Ryan Pressly’s $17.5 million deal with the Houston Astros that could buy out a third free agent year, a source tells ESPN.

Was set to become a free agent after this year.

Would be curious to see what a Bregman extension would look like. I'm not sure, given the market if six years $144 million would do it. If Bregman ends up with an Arenado or Manny contract, it makes more sense to do it ASAP so you're paying for his premium years.

I agree with you that Correa needs to be gone to make the chemistry work. Glad someone finally said it

Oh my.

@MarkBermanFox26

MLB sources: The #Astros have reached an agreement on a six-year/$100 million contract with All-Star third baseman Alex Bregman that includes this season. Deal covers this year & the 3 years he'd be eligible for arbitration plus the first two years Alex can become a free agent.

I feel like I would have rather waited to give him this deal until after nexr year but getting those two free agent years is terrific

Meanwhile Miss Texas is whispering poison in Correa's ear about how he should be getting the extension. Can't afford her dream wedding on the peanuts hes making now.

If he repeats last year no way he takes this deal IMO

It’s a gamble but Bregman works his arse off and even if last year is a career year the floor is still very high. I feel like this is pretty low risk high reward
