So now can we say the offseason was a failure?

I’m very ready to declare us either World Series champs or missing the playoffs based on 5 innings of exhibition baseball in Florida

The DAT is a safe haven for such talk. Burn it all down.

But also, the roster is fine.

Huge question is Correa, last year with injuries was that his reason for such a stark decline? Because in the same amount of games the previous year he was fantastic. If he bounces back to play 140+ then that would be huge. I've enjoyed watching him play when healthy

ESPN Way-too-early 2019 All Stars

Schoenfeld predicting Allstar starts for Bregman and Altuve with Correa, Cole, Verlander and Josh James coming off the bench.

Then my big shocker: Astros rookie James, who came out of nowhere to have a dominant minor league season with his upper-90s heat (that hit 100 when he pitched out of the bullpen in the majors). He's not even guaranteed a job in the rotation, but I think he wins it (and rookie All-Star starters aren't an anomaly).

Yeah, it will make a big difference if both Correa and Altuve can be and stay healthy. Won't win in October without that.

FYI to the cord cutters - FuboTV picked up AT&T Sports SW. it has a nice sports lineup aside from our Stros.

A friend of mine has FuboTV. Seems like a solid option.

I’m doing the free trial now and I like it. Will likely switch.

Pretty sure this is the first true streaming option that has picked up AT&T SW

I did just see they don’t carry ESPN tho I guess ESPN+ makes it easier tho

Anyone listen to the Astros Baseball podcast with Rob Fontenot? Found it a month or so ago and seems like a pretty decent podcast. Wanted some baseball talk to break up all the hunting podcasts I listen to.

Aren’t mist of the channels on that service sports related?

Yeah but somehow they don’t have ESPN. I think this plus the super cheap Sling would still be cheaper than a lot of cable TV options

The fact that they didn’t trade altuve for prospects is just a sign that front office is ok with being good but not potentially great
