Yeah that’s probably the only scenario in which he decides to retire

I will never accept it.

Crane needs to buy that MFer a 10 pound bag of weed and a cheap timex.

Siri in CF? Fuuuuuuuck. Between that, Bregman's injured wrist and Maldy we're in trouble bottom of the order.

Maldy is going to straddle the plate with a foot in each batter’s box, facing the pitcher, and wear one in the cup. He wants it that bad.

I love Odor coming on in relief. He seems to relish that role.

Do you remember the June 15 game against the Rangers? McCullers started, but Odorizzi came in and pitched four innings of long relief (innings 6-9). Altuve walked it off with a grand slam in the 10th.

And of course he came into Game 1 of this series and pitched well out of the bullpen.

Let Garcia go as long as he can, then bring in Jake after.

Me too. It’s a good problem to have, though.

I don’t remember what I was doing on November 2, 2013, but today beats it by a long shot.

Curious to see what Frieds game plan is tonight. After the 2nd inning, he ditched his 4 seam fastball, he only threw 7 on 37 pitches over 3 innings. He threw 7 in the first inning alone and another 6 in the 2nd.

Innings 3-5 37 pitches

Slider 10
Curveball 8
Change-up 8
4 seam fastball 7
Sinker 4

So 26 off speed to 11 fastballs. You would assume he feels like he found something in that but transitioning to it mid game vs attacking like that from the get go is a different animal. My guess is he's going to pitch backwards and not give fastballs in traditional counts.

Yes, but does he command it like that again?

And Astros hitter got to see it twice. That hopefully counts for something.

I’d like to press the issue early and run on Fried and TDA, not sure how he controls the running game though

If he's gonna pitch off speed like that, it's gonna be important for Altuve and Tucker to settle tf down and not try to jump on a first pitch fastball that's more likely to be a curve or slider. Those are two guys that aren't wasting any time looking to ambush but I don't think it's gonna be there.

I've also heard it mentioned several times that he has been tipping at least to some degree. Let's hope he still is!

Currently fricking around downtown, watching to see how far ticket prices will go down before going home and watching the game, lol.

I’m just here to say, even though I want and think the Braves will close it out tonight…… I like the Astros as well and won’t be that disappointed if they win. It’s gonna be a good one tonight!

If Fried keeps throwing all junk, we should be able to tear up the bases if they can be patient and draw some walks or force Fried into the zone.
