There's really no reason to tinker... but... Hunch.
On another note... Keuchel on the season had a very favorable home split. 6-3, 2.26 ERA, .949 WHIP, 4 HR allowed in 11 starts.
Also 4-1 with a 2.41 ERA in day games on the season.

Sitting at the waffle house, getting ready to head that way from LC

the only changes I could see him making are taking McCann out, having Gattis catch and having Maybin play LF or having Beltran DH. I don't think they should do that at all, but having seen enough of Hunch's lineups I could see him doing something like that. I still think they roll with the same lineup though.
Then Sunday have Beltran DH against Fister probably even though I would rather see Gattis again

This is the playoffs, Hinch is done tinkering. Put our best 9 on the field.

I'd want to hold on to Maybin in case a PR is needed for Gattis or McCann in a crucial spot late.

The non Astros fans on this board will probably call me bitter for saying this, but I highly doubt Judge has another year like this one in his career. His career minor league slash is like 270/373/473 and he slashed 284/422/627 this year. His walk rate in his minor league career was like half of what it was this year. I think he will be a good player, but never an MVP candidate type again. That's my hot take for the day
That said I can definitely see the argument for him winning the MVP. His production over the course of the year was incredible despite the long slump he had. I think it will be neck and neck between him and Altuve voting wise

I just don't see how Altuve doesn't win it this year. He's been incredibly consistent.

The consistency is definitely the argument for him. Judge's raw numbers are better. I hope Altuve wins it but I want the big trophy and I'm sure he does too.

Altuve has the slight edge in WAR (although I guess that also depends on the source) and a huge advantage in BA, which some voters love.

Pretty sure McCann is going to catch DK I’m pretty sure

Yeah I think he has the edge in WAR from Fangraphs and Judge from BR. I just meant overall Judge's raw numbers are better. Altuve has a great case for winning it, I just don't think Judge winning it would be some case of a NY media conspiracy or something. His production was insane and he would be very deserving.

100% with you
I won't be that mad if Judge wins it. He's not undeserving. However it would be pretty disappointing if Altuve doesn't get the nod with the year he's had, and the culmination of years he's had, and in a Trout injury year.

I agree on all points. I'd take no issue with either winning it, but do feel that Altuve is more deserving. It's kind of incredible that Judge surpassed his career minor league slash as much as he did. He's also pretty old for a rookie, so you'd have to figure this year has to be the ceiling.

I think Altuve won it yesterday. Bats for average and has power. And plays at a high level in the field. If that's not MVP worthy, then the voting is skewed. Give Judge rookie of the year, he deserves it.

True as well... he's only one year younger than Mike Trout, two years younger than Altuve... two years older than Correa and Bregman and Lindor.

They already voted... voting for all the season awards take place before the postseason starts.
