ALCS Game 6 tonight will be the 48th postseason game played at Minute Maid Park, which opened in 2000.

There have been 47 postseason games at Wrigley Field, which opened in 1914.

This is quite the statistic, courtesy of @ESPNStatsInfo: ALCS MVP Yordan Alvarez had seven hits in the final two games of the series. The Boston Red Sox's entire team had five.

With the Astros advancing, Mattress Mack’s dream of giving away mattresses to his customers, subsidized by $35.6 million in winning Astros futures remains alive. His $2M bet at Caesars will become $20M if they win, the largest single payoff in legal gambling history.

Yall gonna act like Maton hasn't been a beast this postseason?

I’m still amazed at how he can blow 92-93 by guys like it’s 98-99.

And seriously, how does Luis seem to top out around 93 all year long, yet he’s steadily sitting 96-97 last night? Sisu

First off, this says more about the Cubs than the Astros IMO. Id wager the Giants, Cardinals, Yankees, Red Sox, and Dodgers have all eclipsed that mark since 2000 as well (even if they moved to New stadiums,i.e. Cardinals to new Busch and New Yankees stadium).

Secondly, it makes the Cubs national popularity an even greater mystery.

Strom said in post game, they made adjustments to his delivery because of his knee giving him issues, and he said with that adjustment he said the ball jumped out of his hand.

That popularity is due to Harry Carey, WGN, and the introduction of cable TV. WGN and WTBS put the Cubs, and the Braves, into the national spotlight, while ESPN was still showing Yankee Conference Field Hockey.
