Well yeah that’s why you don’t put him on in the first place unless you think he’s healthy and can contribute. They clearly didn’t understand the scope of his injury I guess

Yea trainers gave some horrible advice or Meyers wasn't completely honest with everyone. This is so frustrating, should have another pitcher on this roster

Carrying Jake, Chas, and Siri never made any sense regardless. You already got Diaz wasting away on the bench as it is. He can play LF in a pinch.
Way higher chance you need Solomon or Bielak than using all those guys in one game.

I'd like to know what his plate production has been since Bregman came back and he was briefly out
I think he might have 2 hits, period
And he was on a tear while replacing Bregman and playing everyday. I wonder if the Mariners would have taken Diaz in place of Toro

Bregman came back on August 25th.
Aledmys Diaz's stats from August 25th to end of season:
26 games, 17 starts, 87 PA, 3 runs, 10 hits, 1 HR, 8 RBI, .128/.218/.205
Yeah that's bad.
Aledmys Diaz's stats from his return from IL to Bregman's return:
24 games, 24 starts, 106 PA, 11 runs, 34 hits, 4 HR, 19 RBI, .337/.368/.525
