DAT 10/21: ALCS Travel Day Discussion Astros Lead Series 3-2

Last night could not have gone any better. Got off the deck and punched back and took a lot of wind out of their sails with the big 9th.
Outstanding effort from the bullpen, Raley cleaning up the 2nd with a runner on second and one out. Javier's three good innings, Maton, Graveman, and Pressly all good innings. It's weird how if you keep the game tight and make the opposing teams take some pressure filled at bats when you are filling up the zone you get outs and good results. Seven walks is still entirely too many, but credit everyone for stranding them.
Should have everyone available today but Javier. Probably don't want to use Raley because it will be his third consecutive work day but I'm sure he can give you a batter. Graveman threw 30 pitches, but he should still be rested enough to give you an inning. Really really need length from Framber today to help that bullpen group out.
Red Sox have shown they are very reluctant to give the ball to their regular bullpen arms. Force their hand with that with offensive pressure and the Astros could be in a really good spot heading back to Houston.
Three game series now, with two of them being at Minute Maid, as good as a spot as you can ask for.

At the very worst, last night gave us an opportunity to get back home and anything can happen at MMP

Only 2 more games of the dusty Era.

I would like for the Red Sox to score more runs than the Astros this afternoon.
Something tells me Chris Sale is going to have a day.

I like to see the bats finally break through with what the great Skip Bertman calls "Timely Hitting".
Hoping that the late 9th inning rally has the guys feeling a little more confident in their abilities at the plate.
Baseball has always been about streaks... Ups and downs.... hot and cold.... Hoping that our cold streak of game 2 and 3 are completely over.
In all likelihood crushing Sale early and scoring a lot of runs... I'd think the Red Sox would leave him on the hill to rot as to preserve arms for Houston.
Glad to see Bregman get in on the action yesterday. What can you say about Altuve. The guy just has that clutch factor. If he was playing QB on Madden he'd be have a clutch factor similar to Tom Brady.

This is such a curious phenomenon. What makes people say things like this?
Are you really young? I'm not trying to be critical -- to each his own. But I am genuinely curious about this type of trash-talk fandom. I mean, when I played, yeah- we'd trash talk the other teams if they were barking in the dugout too much.
But other fans? Seems strange to me.

Hell at this point I would just like the starter to get pass the second inning

If Frambaw can go 6 innings and leave with the lead, I will have some length of my own....

I'll take 5 innings. If he goes 5 innings it looks good for the Astros.

They looked totally defeated last night and that should carry over back to Htown. Let's go 'Stros!

Oh I’m well aware it’s immature and stupid. The Sox fan I responded to was trolling the DAT with similar remarks so I was simply returning the favor. At least he’s man enough to show his face though. The other Sox trolls are still crying about last night.
