This quote is taken from AstrosDaily.com. It's usually my go-to source for Astros Baseball.

quote:

Changes at Astros Daily
As the team makes their transition to the American League and its inferior style of play coupled with the organization all but screaming their lack of interest in putting a competitive product on the field for 2013, the staff at Astros Daily has chosen to curtail their daily coverage of the ballclub this season. Front page updates may occur during the season on a weekly or series-by-series basis in part because of a lack of enthusiasm by the staff to follow the current club combined with a lack of access to broadcasts to independently monitor the progress of the team.

We take pride in being the home for complete information on the franchise's 51 National League seasons and hope you continue to visit us as a handy reference for this information but updating the site to reflect the 2013 season and beyond may not be as complete or timely as our readers may have come to expect from us in the past. We apologize if this inconveniences our readers. Life events as well as decisions of the club have literally made this decision for us.

AstrosDaily.com is also making itself available for sale to any reasonable buyer who promises to preserve the vast treasure trove of Astros history and presents it in a respectable manner. To inquire further about this, contact Bob

This guy Bob is letting the butthurt flow through him at levels never before seen.

And all this after an 8-3 win over Philly on saturday.

I stopped reading there......

Seriously, that's all I needed to see.

It's pretty bush, but since they're not directly affiliated with the Disastros, I guess it's their prerogative.

I hope this is tongue in cheek.

Also I think Luhnow will put a more competitive team on the field next year, bringing in some more vets. But I think he should have signed a couple of guys this year just to not diminish the brand too much, but its debatable.

Everything I say about my Astros is tongue in cheek.

Impossible to say without knowing what "life events" means, but yeah, he comes off as a whiny baby.

Astrosdaily is pretty much the only resource I use. Maybe the new web owner will make the site more aesthetically pleasing.

Sounds like a true fan. At first, I was upset about the move and it will definitely take some adjusting but the important thing is the change in leadership. Crane > Uncle Drayton in his later years, Luhnow >>> Purpura and > than Wade, and I don't care if they haven't played a game yet, Bo Porter will be a better manager than Cooper and Mills combined. The farm system is finally in the top 5. There are things to be excited about but this part

combined with a lack of access to broadcasts to independently monitor the progress of the team.

is true. We still don't know if or how we will be able to watch games. Check out Crawfish Boxes if you haven't already

Sound like bandwagoners. I don't frequent their website and if I did, I damn sure wouldn't go back when they decide they want to start covering the team when they're winning again. Crawfish boxes.com won't let you down. Daily content.

The real focus of the article is that these guys refuse to accept the transition to the American League and instead of doing their jobs, they're going to cry about it and destroy their readership.

CQQ, AstrosDaily typically links Crawfish Boxes articles to their site...along with a host of other reputable sites.

Any fan with half a brain knows that this organization is headed into the right direction. This guy is the main man on this site and fans use it as a respectable source of information? Even after comments like this?

their lack of interest in putting a competitive product on the field for 2013,

Like I said in my first post, that comment tells me everything I need to know about this guy and whoever uses this website should probably seek a different platform if you're wanting information.

Bingo.

His obsession with the National League pretty much caused him to abandon his own website.

On the up side though, he is putting it up for sale...so hopefully he sells the site to a true fan.

National League fans who are emotionally tied to pitchers hitting are strange people IMO.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. NO ONE was worse than Tim Purpura. That guy is the worst GM possibly ever.

They're still working things out on the TV deal. Here in Houston, I'm on comcast, and I've got access to the channel where they plan to broadcast.

I know they're working hard on deals with other providers to get the channel added to their regular cable package.

I believe they're trying to work something out with Cox in Louisiana as well.

They'll get something figured out.

The lack of broadcast is frustrating. They are cutting off an entire side of thier fan base with no louisiana broadcasting.

The more I read up on all of that...

I think this whole thing is going to go down like any other cable TV tug of war.

The closer to the season it gets, the more serious they'll be about it. I'll watch for a few weeks, but eventually just watch MLB Tonight all night like I normally do.

The season is a month away and most louisiana fans have no way of watching.

I live 45 minutes away from the stadium and have no way of watching. Signing with Comcast was a stupid idea from the beginning. Why would Direct TV or Dish Network want to carry a Comcast channel? It's like asking Burger King to start carrying the Big Mac.

Yea, you have to be good to have a bandwagon.
