I thought it was interesting that they didn't mention just how he died. I guess blunt force trauma was implied but I thought they'd explain it more in detail. Also, I never saw the blood on the mat before. I still can't believe they didn't stop the show.

I've also always been confused exactly how he hit the ring since there were so few accounts. So he hit the ring face down into the top rope and it snapped him on to his back? How did the rope not break?

No, but the time he told the people of Detroit that if you were going to give the United States an enema, you'd connect the hose in Detroit was pretty damn good heel work.

Bret's WCW heel work is underrated. Who are you to doubt El Dandy?

Bret’s WCW issues are mainly a lack of programs he was allowed to work. Only top people who worked a significant amount of matches with him were Flair and Goldberg IIRC.

Main program he worked the whole time he was there saw his head kicked off and knocked him into retirement.

Might have been. But Detroit is way worse than Pittsburgh.

No arguments there but the show in question took place in Pittsburgh IIRC.

Owen should've been a bigger star than Bret.

WWF/Vince used him as a prop/rib after Bret left.

They debuted him as a special guest enforcer/referee, which ended in one of the biggest debacles in WCW history.

once HBK decked Taker with the chair and costed him the belt and they turned HBK heel the WWF kinda sucked the rest of '97.

you had Hart and Michaels as both heels and it was lame but i guess there was no way around it.

didn't they at least give a title shot at the December ppv at the end of 1997?

granted it was one time deal but at least they threw him a bone.

i always thought Owen was funny.

eerie how he shot on the microphone about leaving Austin a crippled freak then he had broke his own neck at his death
