At this time last year he was getting laughed at for having Makhi Becton as the number 1 OT and he now looks to be a franchise left tackle.

Sewell dropping seems nuts, but it’s not like I’ve broken down tape of he and Slater to compare their skill sets. I know no one posting here has, so who knows? Maybe

Sewell was the best offensive player in the nation in 2019 at any level or position of college football.

Did he have them there before or after the combine? And Benton wasn’t the first tackle taken nor was he the best rookie one.

Before the combine. I realize he wasn’t the first one taken or the best, but he was accurate in his assessment that he would be a great tackle. I bet the Giants wish they took Becton instead of Thomas

He’s not a can’t miss prospect by any means. I guess he’s the safe pick.

So... what was the point of bringing up Becton again?

DJ is regarded as the best in draft analysis

Combine that with his front office sources

He knows what he is talking about

How about with his front office and scouting experience

Alabama has a fairly good record of corners improving in the NFL. Look into that however you’d like.

The bigger, athletic, sorta slightly underperforming CB’s with size and talent seem to be pretty good in the NFL with room to get better once they get up there.

And some of the less talented ones who max out in college end up being able to play alright in the league as well.

Alabama CBs aren’t terrible choices(not saying you’re arguing that).

Yeah I was gonna say he has real scouting experience to back his stuff up on

Kind of wild looking back that Mike Mayock had zero front office experience and got a GM job bc he sounded good on TV

Mock drafts are about projecting where a player will be selected, not how good you believe they will be. That’s for your prospect ranking list. I don’t buy that Lawrence is the best QB in this draft, but it’s essentially a lock he’ll be the top pick (even though the Jaguars’ biggest need on offense is OT and they have dookie on defense).

Neither has Ja’Marr, but he has him going at #3.

Agreed. The guy is a scout by trade. I think he knows a lot more than the amateur know-it-all scouts on here who would take Mac Jones w/a top pick.
