Daniel Jeremiah 2021 NFL mock draft 1.0

Daniel Jeremiah's top 50: 2021 NFL Draft prospect rankings 1.0

LINK

quote:

The NFL has released the list of underclassmen who have been granted early entry to the 2021 NFL Draft, marking the official start to Mock Draft Season! With 97 days until Round 1 kicks off in Cleveland, here's my first look at how the first 32 picks of the 2021 draft class could play out.

quote:

1. Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence · QB

quote:

2. New York Jets

Zach Wilson · QB

The draft starts at this pick. The Jets have a lot of options, but Wilson's upside would be tough to pass up.

quote:

3. Miami Dolphins

Ja'Marr Chase · WR

The Dolphins need to add some playmakers around Tua Tagovailoa. Chase is the best pass catcher in the draft.

quote:

4. Atlanta Falcons

Trey Lance · QB

This decision will likely come down to Lance versus Ohio State's Justin Fields. I can make a strong argument for both players, but I'll stick with Lance because of his advantage as a decision-maker on the field.

quote:

5. Cincinnati Bengals

Rashawn Slater · OT

Florida TE Kyle Pitts would be tempting right here, but the Bengals must address the offensive line. Slater has five-position flexibility and his tape is outstanding.

quote:

6. Philadelphia Eagles

Patrick Surtain · CB

The Eagles need another wideout, but they're also desperate for help in the secondary. Surtain would team up with Darius Slay to give Philadelphia's new staff an outstanding cornerback duo.

rest of the list

I hope the Jets draft Fields so the Falcons can get Wilson.

Is Sewell dropping like that in other mocks?

No way Denver passes on him for a CB.

I was under the impression that he was considered damn near a generational O line talent. If that's the case I feel like multiple teams with young franchise qbs would trade up for him before he dropped to 10.

I would be PISSED. I want a CB bad but if Sewell is there at 9 he’s the pick.

No doubt. You can’t pass him up. He would solidify Denver’s OL through the draft minus RG.

Surtain played at a very high level this year. His best football is also ahead of him.

This is a shite draft

Has Sewell dropping to the Cowboys at 10. Not going to happen.

Daniel Jeremiah has always been a low IQ NFL reporter.

re: Daniel Jeremiah 2021 NFL mock draft 1.0
I don’t get the hate for DJ or this mock. None of us really know anything yet.

Sewell dropping seems nuts, but it’s not like I’ve broken down tape of he and Slater to compare their skill sets. I know no one posting here has, so who knows? Maybe he ends up OT2 this draft. All of our perceptions of what these lists “should” be is based on other stuff we’ve read just like this. Who knows how this stuff shakes out, considering there’s been no senior bowl, pro days, and several of these guys haven’t played in a year.
