The Big Ten isn’t looking to expand at this time, according to Dan Wetzel of Yahoo Sports.

Conference expansion and realignment has been a huge topic in the past week, with Texas and Oklahoma expected to leave the Big 12 to join the Southeastern Conference. This move has sparked a bunch of chatter on what other moves could occur — including numerous teams expressing interest in the joining the Big Ten. However, that is reportedly something the league isn’t interested in at this time.

Wetzel tweeted on Monday night that he’s hearing “little to no interest in expansion” from his Big Ten sources. He added that the league is in talks with the Pac 12 on a potential non-conference rotating schedule agreement.

Wetzel also debunked the wild rumor that Ohio State and Michigan were in “serious contact” with the SEC on joining the conference. That was something I personally was always skeptical about — but it was at least an interesting rumor.

Baylor would make a ton of sense, given their recent scandals

Not surprising. Neither ACC or Pac 12 are likely to fall apart and no one left in the Big 12 adds enough value.

Kevin Warren will destroy this conference if it's the last thing he does.

Then they'll be left behind by Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State likely leave to chase dollars the same way OU and Texas did. And that conference is a big ole pile o shite without those 3. Is Iowa gonna carry you?

We're headed into a new era of CFB. If you're not being forward thinking you're getting left behind like the Big 12.

They were setting the standard on what not to do last year, so, this is about par for the course

The Pac10 (or whatever number they’re at now) is already dead and the ACC will be dead when Clemson and Florida State join the SEC.

The next step the SEC needs to do is have all member schools resign from the NCAA and form their own playoff. There will be no need for SEC schools to play non-SEC schools ever.

At that point, the Big 10 dies. Ohio State and Michigan will seek admission to the SEC and the rest end up in a 2nd tier of college programs with the remnants of the Big 12, ACC, and Pac10.

The Big 10 is undoubtedly the best positioned conference besides the SEC. They can afford to move methodically and add a couple schools that can provide value when the time is right.

The Big 12 and American (and/or MWC) will have some kind of merger between some of the schools.

They'd be on ND in a second if the interest was mutual then probably go after Syracuse or BC to make it an even number of teams.

That sounds par for the course. These were the same Karens that had to be publicly shamed into having any football last year

I thought ACC teams could still leave, but the ACC would keep their rights

You’d be putting a clock on the ACC and that would pretty much kill them though

Didn't the ACC and ND basically contract "dibs" if they ever join a conference? They've rebuffed the Big Ten enough to where that seems unlikely.

The big 10 is actually playing this much smarter than the SEC, who keeps adding programs that will further canabalize the league. Yeah they'll be richer, but not necessarily better because ita teams will be seeded lower in multiple sports postseasons.

The big 10 is, ultimately, protecting Ohio State, and to a leaser extent, Michigan.

Big 10 is
