What does Adnan have to do to get a damn gig?

Not even close. I listened to Kiley and Booms every morning until Booms got fired about 3-4 months ago. They did a segment last year when the rumor was floating around about a Trent Richardson sex tape that was some all time great radio humor. They did another one about Plain Dealer layoffs that was really funny too.
My only issue with them was Booms being such a Manziel homer that he blamed everyone else for him sucking.

Lebatard is terrible. Too much Miami Heat and NBA talk along with pathetic attempts at humor.
I'd rather have Cowherd.

Lebatard is cool with me. I would've preferred Max and Marcellus but Lebatard will do alright there.

I like Lebatard, but in a more non sports way, I don't think he's a great fit for this slot.
Not a fan of Cowherd but he was good about being college football heavy, I don't see that from Dan.
I don't think it'll be that big of a deal. You still have all of the local guys and Russillo for CFB. Lebatard will be good for professional sports.

the animal guy delivers the best show content. everything else is omg we're so bad!!! then once in a while lebetard thinks he has a unique intellectual perspective on a subject that stugots pretends to understands and acts like its "such a great point dan"... "you're right... 'regurgitates what dan says'"

I feel like that afternoon slot is suited for Lebatard very well. I love his show, but not sure how it will fair in the morning.
I agree. I wonder how much espn will meddle in his topics if the ratings aren't good.

So a less intelligent, less well rounded, and less eloquent host.
No wonder ESPN begged Cowherd to stay

This is great news! Put him in a time slot where I don't listen. Can't stand that show.

Definitely disagree on intelligence and eloquence. I'm often impressed by Lebatard's opinions when he's not giggling like a schoolgirl.
Cowherd's a pseudo-intellectual. He's more concerned with creating the appearance of being intelligent than providing thoughtful analysis. And he has difficulty ever admitting being wrong. That's a major quality of an pseudo-intellectual.

I really like Colin. I miss him on ESPN.

I don't envision any scenario where they're ever talking nothing but sports and breaking down pre-game stuff.
It's one of the reasons some folks hate the show now because it's too Miami centric, and I don't think that'll ever change, even if it means being canned nationally and going back to a local show.

Also, when I think of qualities I want in my sports radio guy, being eloquent would never show up on a list, that seems odd.

Cowherd's great talent was sounding intelligent to idiots and making idiots feel intelligent for listening to him while he spouted utter nonsense and trolled incessantly. Since the average sports radio listener is a step dumber than even the average sports message board poster, he obviously appealed to a huge audience.
LeBatard is actually intelligent and plays up the self-deprecation so much that it sometimes get lost in his delivery. He's really bright and en exceptional writer.
