Does he want both groups to match the racial makeup of the country? I'm not understanding how he gets to decide what is or isnt the correct racial makeup for any of these groups of people. For starters if he really wants to be fair and inclusive, he should be arguing for more Asian and Hispanic players and announcers. If he's arguing there should just be more black announcers because they're already over represented in players, then he's just incredibly racist.
Or we could just pick the best players, coaches, announcers, etc regardless of race.

It would only be a valid point if we knew that there was some large group of black former players trying to become color analysts and being denied simply because they're black.
We already know that the argument doesn't hold up when you consider studio analysts.

Perhaps there have been cries for this type of thing in China, or the Middle East somewhere? Maybe in Africa? Where they're all "hey, we're mostly Arab/Black/Indian...we need some diversity and white people"

I was really asking for an example of a non-white society asking for or welcoming diversity and for their majority demographics to be decreased, and your example is diversity being forced on a population.
