CLEMSON, S.C. —
The brother of Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney was sentenced today after pleading guilty to sexual exploitation of a minor.
Henry Ervil Swinney III was arrested and charged with third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor in April 2022, when he was 53.
The investigation started after Pickens County Sheriff’s Office received two cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about Swinney, according to Robert Kittle with the South Carolina attorney general's office.
Henry Swinney was sentenced to four years in prison with credit for 15 days for the time he already served, Kittle said.
Kittle said Swinney also consented to the forfeiture of the devices that contained child sexual abuse material and will have to register as a Tier II sex offender upon his release.
Henry Swinney was also arrested in Florida in January 2016 and charged with aggravated stalking, as WYFF News 4 reported then.
At the time, Dabo Swinney said, "I think the only sad thing is, it’s a story because he’s my brother. You know, if I was Joe Schmoe then you’re not asking me that question."

You misread the article… Dabo said that back in 2016 when his brother was charged with aggravated stalking.

Dabo has always distanced himself from this brother. He’s also had addiction problems. I’m surprised to see he lived in Pickens. I’m guessing he lived with their mom.

Dabo is a phony. He is not responsible for his brother's behavior, but he is responsible for what he says about his brother. Dabo should have expressed support for the victim.
