People underestimate how important fans are to the viewing experience. Makes it so much better.

Based on the college football ratings and NFL opener, the NBA should be really worried.

I watched the first half last night and I can’t remember on instance of woke politics being mentioned. Kinda funny how after the league shifted from making woke-ness a cornerstone issue for them people watched again. It’s almost like the NFL halfway listened and fans responded.

They cannibalized the usual Cowboys SNF ratings to get it

Bucs win over the Cowboys on NBC averaged 26 million viewers across TV/streaming. Best NFL Kickoff game audience since Steelers-Patriots in 2015 (27.4 million).

Number will go up some when out-of-home data is in next week.

Last year, 20.6 million watched Texans-Chiefs

Without question. Last night was so much better to watch than some of the cringey shite we saw last year.

Can’t wait for some big college football games instead of the crap atmospheres last year.

You're telling me a message board with a bunch of mouth breathing hicks who eat up QAnon might not be the most accurate barometer of reality?

Quelle surprise.

I watched the game, didn't see the pregame stuff, and saw zero wokeness.

was highly anticipated by Housemate.
sat and watched the thrilling come from behind victory.

she's still in the penalty box - having failed to trot out her LSU teddy bear and assorted memorabilia before the UCLA game.
they usually watch the game.

actually it's almost as if politics were never in the broadcasts to begin with and people just keep "boycotting" the NFL over some imaginary boogeyman they conjured up in their head.

I was on the road during halftime of last nights game and Boomer Esiason was asked his thoughts leading up to the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and he ended up blasting the Dems over the Afghanistan withdrawal. So I guess if anything the NFL is now littered with anti-woke messages in their broadcasts. right?
