I’m not sure anyone arguing Cousins and Keenum are similar ever saw Keenum play before last year. He was plain bad before last year happened. I would be very surprised if he can produce similar to last year ever again

Playing Green Bay twice with Rodgers playing is harder than last year when he got hurt in the first game. That isn't debatable and the fact they've previously won the division over the Packers with Rodgers is irrelevant to next year.

I think he could be prety good as well. I remember the playoff game a few years back and I thought he acquitted himself well. I think he could flourish if he can get on a team with a very good interior line and competent receivers at the very least

As a Vikings fan, this is depressing.
$84M for someone who doesn't make you a true contender.
Keep what you had to get to the NFC championship, and you keep almost $50M in money and gain a year of flexibility if things go to crap with Keenum.
