Simmons may play a game or two before the playoffs, is coming off injury, And hasn’t played in a year. You can pretty much write off any meaningful impact from him. You can’t just step onto the court after that much time
Off and be a positive player.

Kyrie, winning is not all that important to him. He is fine with sitting out playoff games. That’s why harden wanted out.

yes, of course. When you want to win a ring and you have teammates who aren’t as committed is causes issues. there is many nba players who didn’t want or need to take a vaccine but they did it because they are part of a team and are accountable to the group. Kyrie doesn’t have the same commitment to sacrifice for the team. He is fine w sitting out playoff games when he could just take a little
Shot and be done with it.

Kai is the only player who put politics over teammates and being there for his guys.

You probably have that backwards.

He doesn't seem very political to me. It's others who have politicized his choice.

Well he put something over the team. Whatever it is, he didn’t make the sacrifices to the team that others did.

Does Kyrie get paid for the games he can’t play?

Well if that’s the case, he is putting his $ where his mouth is. Maybe just maybe some things are more important to him than basketball. Maybe “taking a shot” that he doesn’t want to take that I think most will agree really doesn’t do much as far as actually protecting him or his teammates at this point is the line he won’t cross and he is willing to leave several million $s on the table to do it.

He is fine to do that, and at the same time you can’t blame his teammates who would Prefer to play on a team where everyone wants to do whatever they can to win games.

Sounds like at least KD’s disappointment is with NYC and NOT Kyrie.

I'm sure they could, and the NBA would laugh at the request and say no.

I love how the NFL and NBA players have almost without fail stood by their unjabbed teammates

Seems like they would at least consider it. After all even the commissioner has come out against the rule. Plus there is precedent.

They let Toronto play at a different location bc of Covid restrictions in Canada. Let’s be honest, the NBA WANTS Kyrie to play in the playoffs.

Was that to appease literally 1 player? That's the difference

There are 15 other playoff teams that would simply not allow this to happen.

There is a 0.0% chance it will happen.

It probably won't happen but I don't see any relevance in what other teams think.

You don't think 15 other teams raising hell about moving the entire operations to appease 1 player wouldn't move the needle?

They simply wouldn't let Silver do that. But Silver would never entertain it any way, so technically you're right lol.
