Oh yeah, another story from the Gold Club that was funny was another regular was Jason Giambi. Dude was yoked out. Always came in and slipped me a Benjamin so I made sure he was always set up. Anyway, he comes in and there was a new girl and he had her dance for him in the "red room". Well later that night he comes up to me hammered (GHB was big at the time) and said he lost his wallet! Said he had lots of money in it
So of course I wanted to find where it went and started with the new girl. Other strippers helped me and long story short, she coughed it up. Not sure of how much she probably hid, but there was a couple thousand in there easily still. He handed me $600 and a big hug and handshake. Dude was always cool to me before that and was really cool to me after that. I hated when he got traded. My wallet was upset too!

He's won twice. I have gotten to see some interesting things and hung out with a lot of cool people. So much more shite goes on that people wouldn't believe.

Good buddy of mine got hooked up with Courtside seats for Game 2 of the 2008 Hornets vs Spurs series which was one hell of an experience. Sat one row from the court directly behind Morris Bart and Danny Glover. During halftime I noticed that people sitting Courtside had a lot of access getting around the court and nobody was really doing it so I decided to walk towards the locker room where the players run out.
CP3 who was my favorite professional athlete at the time, and is still up there on that list for me personally, was the last one out of the locker room and I was literally the only person between him and the court. He sprinted towards me and we fist-bumped and he proceeded to drop 30 and the Hornets took a 2-0 lead in the series.
That game was such a rush and possibly the peak of what was the most magical season for a Hornets fan since they arrived in New Orleans.

quote:I could only imagine. People very rarely see anything more then the 4 hour glimpse they get on TV. Guys don't say much, dress nice, and act professional. While I'm sure most tour pros are stand up guys, that sure is a recipe for false perception of who they actually are.
So much more shite goes on that people wouldn't believe.

I played college golf with a few of the touring pros out there right now and the stories of AK and DJ are true. I know from experience with AK. About three years ago I was living and playing in Scottsdale around the time of the waste management Phoenix open. My roommate ate the time played college golf with AK and we stayed at his rental house for two nights.! We were fricked up for 48 hours straight. Booz, blow, strip clubs.... AK shot 76 in round 1 and missed the cut. Haha

Last time the Super Bowl was in N.O. , think I was in about 4th or 5th grade. Anyways I was at the super bowl experience with a friend and my dad. We were at a throwing station, much like a tire swing, but made of cardboard with like 6 different station so six people at a time, you know. Anyways Cullpepper is walking through with his entourage stops at the booth picks me out of the six and "teaches" me how to throw while throwing with me at the station

Still awesome as hell when your 10 for a top NFL Qb at the time.
ETA:
Other moments I cherish are
1) Being at CWS when LSU won in 09
2) high-fiving PP7 during the Tiger Walk on his last game in TS vs Ole Miss
3) Plethora of autographs from spring training
4) meeting and chatting with Buck O'neil for a while when my cousin was in spring training for the Royals. By far one if the nicest guys I've ever met

He was leading the FBR in 2010, and went hard Friday night. Idiot was unaware that tee times had been moved up on Saturday due to weather. You could tell he didn't go to sleep. Ended up getting rid of his caddie because he told him he needed to chill on the partying. I'm glad he's fallen off the earth

Watching the Saints beat Dan Marino
Watching the Cowboys shite stomp the Eagles on a Monday night back in 96. I was with my best friend who died later that spring. He was a huge Cowboys fan.

I met and visited with Pine Top Perkins at an old record shop in Helena, AR. We talked blues for 20 minutes before he had to leave and "catch a sip"

I was on the field at Arrowhead for the Chiefs/Bills opener in 2011. It was the 10 year anniversary of 9-11, so I got to experience the flyover and national anthem first hand and was holding part of the flag spread across the field. I will never forget that.

Drinking at a bar and an assistant coach walks in and flips on game film for an upcoming basketball game. We drank and broke down film for 4 hours after closing. Think it was Charlton Young.

Guess being the first player to play the only hole at pinehurst number 2 that was already built for the 2014 us open and asked what I thought was pretty cool. No rough on the entire course for the open.
