If she can coach, who cares. It'll be tough bringing in recruits though.

screw that, i want her as the next spurs coach.

she is a smart basketball mind, won the summer league title a few years ago. i would have 0 issues with her as the head coach of my basketball team.

she will get her chance eventually and brace yourselves (poli board cucks)... she WILL BE SUCCESSFUL......

I'm sure she knows the game. But there is a lot more to being a successful HC than just knowing x' and o's. Is she going to be able to recruit good talent? I don't care how good of a tactician you are. If you have bad players, none of it matters. Also, are the male players going to respect her? She has no significant "skins on the wall" to show her players or potential recruits to gain respect automatically. There seems to now be an ever expanding wedge being put in place between men and women. Will her male players be comfortable coming to her with a problem? Many of these guys look at their coaches as a quasi-father figure that they may not have had in their life.

Yes, she has been on the Spurs' bench for a while now. But make no mistake, that is Popovich's show. I doubt she had much to do with bringing in the talent on that team and I suspect San Antonio could replace her with NUMEROUS other coaches and not miss a beat. Kind of like how New England and Alabama football just keep rolling despite ever-changing coaching staffs. The head guy makes everything go.

If CSU wants to do it as a social experiment, then that's certainly their prerogative. If nothing else, it will give their program MASSIVE media exposure (at least initially). But it will be an UPHILL battle for her and sadly, you bring in added headache if the AD wants to fire her. Regardless of her lack of success (if that would turn out to be the case), there would be a LARGE faction of people screaming that she was only fired due to her gender. Does CSU really want that?

I don’t understand how you can have a female coach in a men’s locker room. Just seems like a really really bad idea.
