Yeah. How else would Colorado have gone 13-12, he should be praised from the rooftops!

The shallow nature of modernity. No perspective, no awareness, care or respect for those that came before or will come after.

idk what Shedeur did more to earn that distinction

His father is HC and made it happen. That their jerseys are being retired a few months after their last game is hilarious. Hunter’s would be justified but already? Really?

Colorado

Are they actually retiring these two guys numbers??

Or is this a joke/publicity stunt?

If they actually are doing this, they are the most embarrassing football program in the history of college football

Shadurrr looks like Pauly D from the Jersey Shore. Good look for him, would like to see both on celebrity jeopardy.

Colorado sold their soul for a couple viral moments and a heisman winner. Pretty wild

They don't really have a soul to sell. It's a school for weed addicts whose rich parents want them far away and their only football success came 30 years ago when Bill McCartney decided to recruit troubled kids the other PAC 10 schools wouldn't touch. Oh, and they got a cameo in the Mork and Mindy opening sequence.

Hunter winning a Heisman i can understand, but Shedeur? He was barely above .500 as a starter

Burrow’s number isn’t even retired after having the best season by any QB in history, breaking almost every single season passing record, and being the leader of arguably the best team in NCAA history.

USC retires every Heisman winner’s number. Caleb was retired before playing pro football and they had a ceremony last year.

Yeah but that's because they retire every winner. Colorado has retired 4 jerseys ever..and three of those were retired before 1970 and are technically now available again with a commemorative patch. The only one out of circulation at the moment is Rashaan Salaam's #19...which they said would remain out of circulation for 19 years. It was retired 23 years after he won the Heisman and I bet a big reason why they retired it was because he was dead. I can get retiring Hunter's jersey because of the Heisman...but Sanders? L. O. Freaking. L. Thanks Daddy I guess.

For the record I think retiring jerseys is dumb. I mean the Yankees have retired every single single digit jersey! 22 total numbers are retired by them...I get they have so much history...but that's ridiculous . What happens 50 years from now when they retire a few more numbers??

What's really fricked up is that Deion unretired the jersey of the GOAT Buff Whizzer White and had a CB wear it last year.

Good gosh it doesn’t take much as a Qb for Colorado to get your number retired.

Yep, and Deion made them that way.

Are they going to retire Rashaan Salaam's jersey too? At least they were good that year (11-1) and beat some good teams.

As others have said, retiring Shedeur's number is a head scratcher. Will be interesting to see what Colorado does this coming season.
