And got 3 wins with the last game being a complete game shutout. He obviously felt fine.

And you can look at it this way: 247 pitches over 6 days is actually somewhat normal for two starts with 5 days rest and a bullpen in between. 105 in game 1, 30 pitch bullpen, 112 in game 2 for example. Not exactly this scenario, but close enough.

agree with you.

if this OP showed up on the tiger rant the day after lsu won their 7th national title, it would be downvoted into oblivion by tiger fans.

part of this is people just hate pat casey and oregon state bc of the whole pedo thing.

The guy will be a legend at OSU. If you asked him he would say he’d do it again no doubt

He would be, but that wouldn't mean it's not worth discussing. Mike Fox at UNC nearly killed a kid in 2013.

Casey has to live with it
Down the line it will come back to bite that kid and could impact his professional career
I don't care what a kid says they can do, it's the responsibility of the head coach to make the call

So what? That kid won't play pro ball in all likelihood.

He was a 4th round pick

He's a pitcher.

He only has so many bullets.

Pitchers hurt their arms. You want to postpone that day for as long as possible and you want it to be after you've leveraged your talent into some money or opportunity.

Can they do MRI or something to see if there is any damage?

Unethical? Or worth it for the title?

I consider it unethical and I think it's why O'Sullivan at UF has had so much success. He doesn't do this with pitchers.

You're naming HOFers. We're talking about the average guy.
