College is great for 4 months.
that's your opinion. LSU didn't play anyone for their first 6 weeks lol. Most college teams don't get started until 4-6 weeks in. what's exciting about watching LSU and other teams beat up on high school caliber teams for the first 4-6 games of the year?

I notice in and around Baton Rouge most fans think that college football is the only sport on the planet while the rest of the country knows better.
Don't most clear thinking ND fans think this? Especially this year?

College Football during November really is the best in sports and its not even close

I hate when some mediocre 6 or 7 loss NFL team gets hot in January and makes a run and all of a sudden they're supposed to be the year's best team.
that's absolutely ridiculous. you do realize that every other sport (pro or college) works that way? college football is the only sport where if you lose more than 1 game (in most cases) your chance of winning a championship is over. teams get better throughout the season in every sport.

Yeah well, that's just like, your opinion man.
Honestly I just like the bowl system. NFL is just a different way to crown a champ.
I like that college at least tries to measure a team over the course of a season.

And thats what makes it so great. There's no margin for error. If any NFL team loses a game this weekend, on Monday who gives a shite?

you're right. opinion is all it is. the NFL has a legit playoff system and college does not. that's my main beef with college football is there is rarely ever a legit champion at the end of the year. there are always 4 or 5 teams who could have just as easily won it, but due to bias voting in most cases or schedule arguments they never get a chance.

Good, that makes it the only sport where the national champion is largely based on the entire year.

College football in general:
What I look like at Memorial Stadium:
When the opposing team takes the field in my rivalry game:
Seeing my team win:
What I hear when opposing fans make excuses:
My response:
Unfortunately, my emotions this season: and
The prospect of an all-SEC MNC game:
SEC fans (i.e., people who toot SEC more than their own school):
Watching one of the service academies:
Watching important late-season games around the country:
Seeing those heroic plays that turn the tide of a game:
NFL: (except when watching my exciting Cal Bears play, like Aaron Rodgers, DeSean Jackson, Marshawn Lynch, Tony Gonzalez, Justin Forsett scoring an 81-yd TD even though his knee touched the ground, Shane Vereen catching an 83-yd TD reception from Tom Brady, etc.)

In every aspect other than the way a champion is chosen. Needs playoff to be perfect sport.
Although I love this time of year in nfl too. Games start to get intense in cold weather. I just love football period
