I think Coppin State out of the MEAC will be the worst. It's a HBCU that is nearly all white on their baseball team. A bunch of kids who would be lucky to play D3 regularly.

I thought those HBCU's just usually go get some Dominicans to come play for them? Seems like a weird strategy to get a bunch of shitty white guys.

tulane gets swept at home for the first time since 98. Not a very good club at the moment ...

Bethune Cookman would get a lot of Puerto Ricans, because the coach was from there. But he's at like Alabama St now or something, and he's already added like 8 guys from the island to that team.

Their Friday night guy threw well on opening night. I didn't hear how he did this weekend though.

In case anyone was wondering, Florida Gulf Coast swept the University of Florida this weekend. Atlantic Sun strong.

They do .. best staff they have had in years. Team era under 2. But the defense is suspect behind them and the offense is terrible for the most part ... Even when they do good things, they dont score. Like friday night down one run in the ninth and have two hits and a walk and dont score.

Gibbs got in the top of the ninth and looked good. Struck out first two then got a ground ball out. I expect to see more of him.

Gibbs high school coach may have already done that for him.

I can't even watch my other purple team play. TCU got gut punched by Ole Miss and they have ZERO confidence. Just dropped an entire series to Cal State Fullerton. They have to start scheduling some cupcakes up front. Playing 6 games against Top 20 teams to start the season is ROUGH.

Wrong Henderson, he's had some shitty luck signing guys then they get thrown to death by their High school coach senior year especially kids from Barbe. We've had at least 4 kids in the last 3 years show up with minor muscles tears after high school.

So far this year he's lost two position players who injured their shoulders swinging a bat.....the last one off a tee in the cage at that.

Didn't your opening night guy throw 120 or something last weekend? That doesn't really help your argument

102, and had no soreness. He threw 7 innings Friday and gave up 3 hits unfortunately one was a 2 run shot to the ND 3rd baseman. The ND thirdbaseman had scouts drooling this weekend, supposed to be a first rounder....he swung the bat really well and played exceptional in the field.

Throwing your best guy 9 innings on opening night is not bad luck.

100 pitches on opening night is not doing that bad set of circumstances any favors. Jones needs to google "pitch count".
