I don't disagree that NASCAR is a predominately southern sport. I disagree strongly with the notion that it's "southern culture of NASCAR" that led to his death, like cowherd was saying.

I dont know if you were responding to me? I agree, I was just trying to differentiate the two. Is NASCAR a southern sport, yes. Did that cause his death, NO!

I could see blaming it on "redneck" culture. "Shewww we boy, Smokey smoke put me in a corner. Im a gonna get out and show that ole boy nobody shows up Jimbo in his hometown."
"Woulda lookey der, a little rookie is shaking his fist at me. Im going to buzz that boys tower Maverick style. yahhhhhhheeeeee."

Except Tony Stewart is far from being a redneck. Step off bruh.

We're on the same page then
I never get upset over what talking heads say. What cowherd was saying though on this topic was so damn outlandish though, I was legit getting pissed while I was driving. He was basically saying everyone in the south are rednecks and encourage this kind of road rage behavior.

That would make a little more sense. Sure, NASCAR is considered "southern", but not even the majority of the south even watches it. If something only happened in SEC football then you could blame that on "southern culture".

Pretty much.
I generally like him but anytime he starts talking about the South he sounds like an idiot. I'm sure his coast audiences lap that shite up though.

Colin Cowherd = less bitter Bill O'Reilly
He decides what he believes facts be damned and he is going to keep pushing it like everyone but the guest he brought on to argue with knows he is right.

I swear, half the media people commenting on the situation have never seen an entire NASCAR race, been to dirt track race, or been to a short track race. But yet suddenly they're experts, and think they know what rules governing bodies should put into place? frick off.

Drivers need to stay in their cars, unless absolutely necessary to get out. There's really no logical way to debate that.
What other rules have been proposed?

Colin Cowherd has some interesting ideas, that being said when he's in full troll mode I can't stand him.

His car was undriveable. Should they have a police car go out with the ambulance and restrain the driver if they look like they may flip someone off?

Are you really arguing against this?
Ward is dead because he decided to get out of his car in the middle of a race. Drivers need to know that jumping out on the middle of a track will not be tolerated. How can you possibly argue that?
