Kelley was big Bert’s guy at Arkansas right? QB’s especially can suffer during coaching changes

Bert recruited him and he redshirted a year then ended up playing 9 games for Bert and 9 games for Chad.

Would love to see SELA and Nicholls make a run in the playoffs.

20/23 for 338 yards and 2 touchdowns in the first half. Had two completions where the WR was tackled on the 1. Guy is a cheat code.

Can’t imagine he has much playing time left this game, SLU up 42-3. Stat line: 22/27, 384 yards, 3 TD’s and 2 carries for 6 yards and a TD.

He's a giant, lumbering qb with no success whatsoever on the P5 or G5 level. He lost to Colorado State as the starter for Arkansas. He's basically a poor man's Ryan Mallett, and we saw how that worked out in the NFL.

I think he's a perfect example of the Peter Principle.

Some team may take a chance on him in the 6th or 7th round, but he's likely an UDFA. He may be able to make a roster, but he's just not what the NFL wants at QB anymore and guys his size have never had real success in the league.

I mean he’s tall af but “lumbering” implies he can’t move and that’s just not true at all.

Those Arkansas teams were absolute arse. Josh Allen played at Wyoming and he seems to be doing pretty well for himself.

He’s tall, white, and played at Arkansas so sure his only comp has to be Mallett. :eyeroll:

Look he’s probably not going to be a hall of famer or probably even a long term starting QB in the NFL, but you add completely unnecessarily underrating him.

Cole Kelley is 6'7". No qb has ever done anything of note at that height.

Yes, that one extra inch makes it impossible to be successful in the NFL.

I’m not saying that he will, but ruling him out for that single metric is shortsighted, imo.
