NOBODY BEATS INDIANA 31 TIMES IN A ROW!

Georgia or Ole Miss with Lane would roll Indiana
The exact same thing was just said about Ohio State.

Only on this board would People be trying to justify that someone is s better coach than Kirby.
Cignetti is a great coach don't get me wrong but he is not a better coach than Smart.
I mean Jesus Christ people.

Why? Kirby smart never did anything close to this in his life. It’s amazing how ignorant you seem to be as to how hard it is to win like this at a complete doormat like Indiana. It is absolutely unparalleled success.
Mendoza had a career record of 9-10 with passer rating of 132 and 144 in his two seasons. He never received any postseason recognition.
In 1 year at Indiana he has a 182 passer rating, will likely win the heisman.

All KS has done is compile a 117-20 record playing an SEC schedule every season (.854 %) with multiple SEC championships and may possible add his 3rd natty in the last 5 years this season. I wouldn't say, "anything close to this"...
Ciggnettis is a great coach, but he has alot to prove in the upcoming years to wear the "best" badge. JMHO...let the stoning began.

Pump the brakes on that. He's just a shiny new toy. He might be top 5, but he ain't the best.
Last year was shinny new toy with an extremely easy schedule.
This year, the schedule is still a joke, but they beat the good team on their regular season schedule and just beat Ohio State.
This is ridiculous what they are doing.

Look at Indiana’s schedule… come on guys don’t overthink this. He’s good but you don’t think Lane would go undefeated with Indiana’s weak arse schedule?
He might, but the fact that Cig has done so is why he deserves the accolades. Like I said in a prior post, last year was a flash, this year is different.

Im going to get downvoted, but if you go look at Indiana and Ohio States schedules this year... I think they are both going to get demolished in the playoffs.
I don’t think this will happen, but if it does it will make me so happy

He’s good, but:
-He made the playoffs three of the six seasons he was a HC in D-II. The furtherest he advanced was the quarterfinal.
-He never got past the first round at his first FCS job.
-He got bounced in the semis twice and lost the championship game at his second FCS job.
He was in the playoffs when a lot of coaches weren’t, but he has yet to win a national championship.
Kirby has two and a legit shot at a third.

Smart took over a tier 1b SEC program that draws a metric frickton of talent that had been winning for years and got them over the hump of not being able to get to a national title.
Cignetti took over a doormat who is a bottom 10 program national had played in 1 major bowl in 1967, and is contending for national titles in years 1 and 2.
Again, parse the nuance. Do you really think Smart could just roll into Bloomington Indiana with a bunch of James Madison players and make the playoffs year 1?

100% yes.

Please, Goober, tell me about which doormat program with no history that Kirby smart took over and instantly made into national title contenders in back to back seasons to start his tenure.
He replaced a coach who won close to 75% of his Georgia games over a lengthy tenure.

Lol - Jesus Christ. The guy took over a roster of NFL talent and went 8-5 with a huge Liberty Bowl win.

He’s done a fantastic job, but you guys REALLY need to look at their schedule. It’s a joke. Yes they beat Oregon and Ohio St which are great wins. But surrounded by cupcakes
Before you say someone is the best coach in the country they need at least 2 national titles. I don’t care what school or conference they are in. If other coaches have a national title and someone has 0, they aren’t yet the best coach in the country.

Lol. It’s like some of you retards just parrot dumb shite you hear.
Indiana beat 2 top 5 teams this season and another ranked team with a top 10 defense.
Ole Miss got beat by 2 scores against the only top 5 team they played and has 1 win against a ranked opponent. The combined league record of Ole Miss’ schedule aside from those 2 opponents is, wait for it, 9-39 — LOL
The last 4 weeks of the season, they played 3 SEC schools with a combined league record of 4-20 and The Citadel.

They went on the road and beat the 5 seed, who has a top 10 D and a shitload of NFL talent, by 2 scores.
Went on road and beat #23, who has a top 10 D in a dogfight.
Played the #2 team, the most talent rich roster in the country and the nations best defense and a tier 1a offense, @ a neutral site and held them to 10 points.
