re: Big wins by SEC teams in the last 20 seasons

Hmmmm...interesting. I'm curious to know how teams have done playing the number one ranked team over the years. I think I read once Kirby is 2-1 in those games. We took down Tenny a few years ago when they were ranked number one. Bama probably is tops in that category as well, I'd think.

Since the start of the 2017 season, Georgia’s record against Auburn, Florida, Georgia Tech, Tennessee and Clemson is 36-2.
That is an incredible stat. I'm 56 years and I remember a time when fans used to say, "If we could just win the 'big 3' (UF, Auburn and GT) every year, it would be a good season. Throw in a championship or 2 and it would be a great season."

UK...Stein will eventually get them very competitive sooner than later.

Don't clump me in the pussy-brigade of fans that lean on the injury excuse. UGA had alot of injuries in both of those games you referenced as well, but even if we would have lost them, I wouldn't whine about it.
An old wise Bama fan that used to be on this board long ago said it best..."Championship teams have championship depth". Never use injuries to take a shot at a team that was clearly the better team when they won and your team lost.
Gee....couldn't agree more with all of that. In fact, I'm positive they are responsible for the COVID outbreak in the states....the war in the Middle East....rising gas prices....global warming.....and the existence of the Democratic party.
We can only hope a giant sinkhole opens up and swallows their whole stinkun university!

You know, I was wondering when ol Whiskey was going to show up and start spewing his usual offseason nonsense about how Tenny was going to conquer the cfb world this season. But I'm honestly beginning to believe that he (and the other 14 alters of his that he has created over the years) were really one of your alters all along.
re: What game worries you most this season?

The Oklahoma game will be big. We show up after mopping the floor with a few nobodies so we will NOT be tested and we're not really going to know what kind of team we have.
If Oky takes down Michigan in game 2 They're going to be in the top 5 and have a mountain of momentum. We protect our homefield pretty well, but I still think this is the toughest game of the year until we play Texas in the SECCG.

Dude...you're obviously an alter and only been on here for a week or so, and already embarrassing the Bama fanbase. They have enough shame as it is without you making it worse. Go away...

KDB has Kirby’s number
Uh, he better figure out a way for his team to have more than -3 rushing yards the next time they play UGA, or the number will be 21 or more again....as in another 21 point bullwhipping by UGA.

The Georgia fans who chimed in on the best offensive lines thread on the Rant didn't seem all that excited
Yeah, this made me raise an eyebrow as well. Not sure what's not to like about this OL. When you have 2 guys that come in and start as true frosh and excel like Glover and Gaston did in the SEC, they are nothing short of special. And I'm reading all over the forums that Helton is the real deal. Some said that after losing down to 260 because of his illness, he has put 30-40 lbs back on and it is PURE muscle, not a tablespoon of fat on him.
We've got depth and experience and I think PR brings some young fire to that group. I'm going to agree with that article on the Rant, this will be the best OL in the country.

They'll need to add Notre Dame just for history and cfb nostalgia sake.

Well, this big ol goofy thread was definitely a strong candidate for the 'Cringe-Worthy Post of the Month' award, then you added this quote and made it a slam dunk. Good grief dude....

Villanova??
What would a lowly peasant fan of a university who's football team isn't even worthy to drink out of a pit of bog sludge that a UGA player urinated in have to say about an SEC school and the playoffs? Be gone....
What should Nussmeier do?
Posted by Darindawg on 7/13/26 at 1:39 pm
Read that his appeal to play in Texas this season was denied. Most think he should transfer to a school in Georgia and play, but that's a taller order than most think. If he goes to a school for one season, he'd have to learn their players and system and there's no guarantees he'll be successful.
Some are saying he should just join up in one of those football specific sports training facilities and lift and train for a year.
I did read that he was tearing it up at a camp recently. Some one may have more 411 on this.
What's yall's thoughts on this?

What would it take for Kirby to be on the hot seat
Well, I'm late chiming in on this but I'll say that it isn't as outlandish at it may seem. There are a bunch of UGA fans that are not happy with the way KS is acclimating to the NIL thing, and this year's lag in recruiting is starting to show that this might be a legit concern. There are some who feel he is losing his passion and fire. Not sure I agree with this, but that's a real thing. And yeah, many are complaining that we haven't had a great showing in the playoffs the last few seasons.
The chaser to this is, his worst season in the last 5 years is 11-3. He's won 2 SEC championships in a row, destroyed our nemisis Bama last season and he has owned our greatest rivals (UF, Auburn, Tenny and GT).
Still...whether any of my fellow Dawg fans will heed my warning or not, I'll throw it out there. If we don't have a FANTASTIC season this year with all of the talent we have coming back and a much easier schedule than the last 2 seasons, there WILL be grumblings the likes we haven't heard since the Mark Richt days.
re: Predict how Kiffin’s tenure at LSU will end
Posted by Darindawg on 7/10/26 at 3:59 pm to ManBearSharkReb

There's a few SEC championship teams that would beat the 2019 LSU team, so I don't see why last year's Indy team couldn't. They looked pretty impressive to me.
Now do top teams that blame injuries for a loss.

There are some posters on this forum that will never change. SMH
