Guys like Levis, who rely just on physical talent, can’t hack it in the NFL. You actually need smarts and brains to read a defense, guys like Richardson, Stroud and Young are much better to the cerebral aspect of the pro game.

That’s shiny. Someone will bite.

Simms knows his shite when it comes to QB's.

He has as many slam dunks as missed layups
He’s nothing special, but he’s not terrible at his job either.

He's a lot better than most.

Am I crazy, or is Bryce Young the best of these QBs?
Posted on 3/22/23 at 3:15 am to St Jean The Baptiste
Easily. Going to be a top 4-5 QB in the NFL in a couple years. Probably top 12. immediately. Stroud has nice talent, but that’s only half the battle to being a great NFL QB. I feel like Stroud will be an average QB, that shows some flashes here and there (like Kirk Cousins with less intelligence, but more pure talent). Bryce is going to completely transform someone’s franchise, especially if he gets drafted to the Panthers in the NFC where Hurts is really the only other long term threat at QB in that conference.

It is also worth noting that he recorded an entire feature video for Bleacher Report ahead of the 2017 NFL Draft touting Patrick Mahomes as the most special talent in the draft. That wasn't necessarily an unpopular opinion at the time; the questions about Mahomes entering the draft that year was not about his talent but if he could harness it effectively
Imagine taking credit for saying Mahomes was the best in the draft

To be fair, both Rodgers and Mahomes had some time to learn in a well run franchise.
Wilson has all the phyiscal attributes, but was thrown into a situation he simply wasn't mentally prepared for in his rookie season on a historically dysfunctional franchise in a market that is cutthroat.
That said, he and Florio have been on a daily "Lamar Jackson" is the greatest qb in NFL history spiel for weeks and it makes me wonder what player they're watching.
Great runner with a big arm, oft-injured and sporadic with accuracy. Not worth 200 mill guaranteed.
This year's draft class is very weak IMO. Young is probably the best option if push came to shove, but his size is scary.
I agree with an earlier poster about OSU QB's. Most of the time they're throwing to wide open elite WR's against midwest DB's. Stroud lit up Georgia, but a lot of people did this year.
Levis is a day 2 guy IMO, just like the other top 5 candidates.

Imagine taking credit for saying Mahomes was the best in the draft . No one but the Bears thought Trubisky was better, so maybe this is the reverse Chris Simms so that's why he's so proud to have gotten it right.
Trubisky over Mahomes was the general consensus going into that draft. Mahomes was generally mocked in the late teens and 20s.

Highest ceiling of any QB in this class, and probably the lowest floor. But not as raw as you might think.
He actually had to make reads this past year. The results were obviously very hit or miss, but he has done it, and done it more than a lot of QB prospects nowadays at the same point as Richardson. On film you can actually see him get a look one time and make a bad play, then later he makes a correct read or check against that defense. He is well ahead of Malik Willis as a prospect, but yeah its a huge risk.

The problem with mocks are that some people try to put who SHOULD go in certain spots and others are just putting who is LIKELY to go in that spot based on rumors, news, etc. So you really have to know what kind of mock you're looking at.
A lot of mocks this year that were showing Bijan to the Buccaneers are probably in the "listening to news" camp because that team has a lot of needs outside of the RB position. I've seen that pick multiple times and to me it doesn't make enough logical sense for multiple plugged in people to be coming to the conclusion that a RB is what Tampa needs next year more than anything

What an idiot. Levis absolutely embarassed Richardson last season. We destroyed Florida.
