"As a Christian, I don't agree with homosexuality. I think it's a sin," said Broussard. "There are a lot of Christians in the NBA, and just because they don't agree with that lifestyle, they don't want to be called bigoted and intolerant."

It's sad that he'll probably be fired over saying this.

He also said pre-marital sex is a sin

He said nothing wrong. In fact, I respect his opinion on this much more than any other opinion he has

He said a lot more. He won't be fired but he will be raked over the coals. Sensitivity training is in his future.

Awesome to stand by your beliefs.

Of course he will be called a hateful bigot.

It was a very tone deaf answer. He shouldn't be fired or even expected to apologize, but he proved for the 800th time that he is a fricking moron.

Even though I disagree with him, I respect him for saying it.

People are clamoring about equality and supporting everyone's views and life styles, then he shouldn't then be crucified for stating his opinion and view.

You have to accept that some people are going to disagree with your view. As long as he isn't forcing his view down other people's throats then it isn't a problem

Stand by his beliefs?

He's an NBA reporter. He shouldn't have commented at all.

To those saying he should get fired, I don't think he can be fired for that statement, if he does he would probably have a lawsuit for discrimination due to religious preference or something of that manner. I'm not exactly sure what employment laws Connecticut has, but I would think this would qualify, if they aren't an at will state.

Why? He was as respectful as possible while still stating his honest opinion. Plus he was brought on OTL to debate about this. That means ESPN knew he'd have this point of view going in.

are other reporters not stating their beliefs and saying they support gay marriage and calling the player courageous for coming out
