Kings win 4-3.

Blues choked, some terrible turnovers in their own zone in that 3rd.

Got a series now.

You can only have one favorite team. yes you can pull for others to lose or do well but at nowhere near the excitement i am seeing from you here.

Game 2 should have ended in regulation 2-0 Rangers,

Whatever. The Caps hit three posts in that game, missed two wide open nets, dominated possession, and outshot the Rangers by a wide margin. The Rangers, without Lundqvist, lose that game 5-0. The Rags were thoroughly dominated in Game 2.

Actually, I felt the Caps outplayed the Rangers for a lot of Game 3, but the penalties killed them. And then one truly abysmal shift in the third allowed for Asham to score and set the tone for the third. Rangers then took it to the Caps in the third. Good on them. We have a series now.

Still, I felt the Caps were the better team, and even played with more urgency for a lot of the night. But the Rangers got a season's worth of good breaks in that game, and to their credit, their final goal was real pretty. They built off that emotion late, they didn't sit back and wait for the breaks -- they made their own luck. But I'm actually feeling pretty good after that game.

The Kings played their asses off last night, especially in periods 2 and 3. The NHL playoffs can be exhausting just to watch (if you're emotionally invested, that is.) Can't imagine how beat up the Kings & Blues players are the way they've been throwing hits in this series. Tied up 2-2 now, each game decided by a 1 goal margin. Awesome.

Not rising to the bait Fatty I will say however that I have family in Michigan, and if your team hadn't had a sniff at the playoffs in 9 years........ooooooorrrrrr won a Stanley Cup in your lifetime, you might just be a little more sympathetic to me taking joy in an Original 6 team's success...just sayin'

I believe the Rangers outplayed the Caps the entire game. However that is the very best the Rangers can play IMO. If the Caps weren't getting penalties left and right who knows how that game would have turned out. The Rangers did a very good job of containing Ovie. The Caps gave up two goals because they failed to get it out of their defensive zone, problems they didn't have in game 1 or 2.

Caps need to keep ripping it from the point because for whatever reason Henrik has been terrible at stopping those. I'm not really worried about the series. Did we really think the Caps were going to sweep the Rangers? The Rangers were playing for their playoff lives last night.

well detroit has been a powerhouse and a contender since 1995. that is a long time mon ami.

The B's? please do not tell me you take solace in the B's winning da cup two years ago!

The rags finally winning in 94 and the hawks winning in 2010 did not bother me though.
