When I was a little kid, going to Kings games was a cheap night out if you didn't mind nose bleed seats at the Forum. The popular east coast teams like Boston and especially Philly almost always had a shitload of fans at our games. This was all BG of course (before Gretzky) in the days of purple and gold. LA hockey and California hockey in general have come a very long way. GKG!

For what it's worth, Bruins fans basically gave up on the team for quite some time because the Jacobs brothers were fricktards.
Hell, I know a bunch that personally switched their allegiance to the Avalanche because of the whole Ray Bourque deal.

And just like that... it's a series. Until someone can beat the Kings on their home ice, they will be a tough out. Really, people were worrying because Quick had a bad game. No one's perfect. Did we think Quick suddenly turned into Fleury?
Still the best goalie on earth and he's got a solid D in front of him. I think the Hawks win this series, but Quick is the kind of guy who can steal a series.

I really didn't follow the kings until 5 years ago when i got to go to a bunch of games because my friend had season tickets. I've been lucky considering weve made the playoffs in 4 of those 5 years and I didn't have to wait 45 years for a cup
