@KevinLighty

Memorial Stadium, where the Fighting Illini play football and are schedule to play Nebraska on Friday, is at least partially on fire. Smoke can be seen pouring out from the the lower level on the south side of the stadium. We have a crew working to get more info.

As long as the coloring books at the library are left untouched, then we're good.

The stadium being on fire might be the only way Nebraska gets in the red zone.

The LSU / Auburn game has provided some of my great college football memories. Always a great game, especially when both teams are highly ranked.

Will be ashame if we lose that one in all the realignment crap.

There was an old ROTC hangar out in a field where everyone parked and tailgated for games. A group of tailgaters left their charcoal grill when they went into the game and it ignited the hangar and the rest is history.

Side note, I turned 16 in 96 and that was the first AU game that I ever drove myself to. 4 hours down, bought tickets on the street before the game and then got to see that insanity, quite the adventure for the first AU game as an "adult"

Wow thats quite the first game thanks for explaining. Can you imagine had you parked your car next to that hanger. From pics it appears the game went on. Quite the backdrop.

I imagine it gave announcers some quips “This offense is playing like a 3 alarm fire. The RB is loose and running like his hairs on fire”.

The crazy thing is, if I had gotten into town earlier I would have. It's where my grandfather and I always parked when he took me to games. Planned to go there, but got there later and had to take something further away.
