It's still amazing to me that Oliveira missed weight, though.

Inexcusible for a professional, especially a champion, to miss weight.

As an outsider to the sport, the emphasis on “weight” is pretty ridiculous. Fighters have tons of different dimensions to them but cutting weight to a specific cut off is the ultimate equalizer? It just seems like a trivial approach in the modern world.

Charles needs to move weight class because he has always had issues making weight. This sucks, mainly because it’s half of a pound. But rules are rules.

Khabib did the same shite.

He already move up from 145. He isnt big enough for 170. Ufc should really do 165 and 175 instead of skipping to 170.

Hope olives chokes him out just a second or two after the stoppage. Grip on a little tighter and let him crumble. Justin feeling confident with the banter now because he missed weight by .5 lbs.

These guys having to cut so stringently is bad for the sport - aside from crap like this it’s unhealthy for the fighters.

Maybe they need to move up the weights then and have people actually fight at their real weight.

It’s become pathological - combat sports need to be treated for anorexia.

Could weigh them multiple times heading up to the fight, to insure that they aren’t cutting too much weight. Weigh them every day for the 7 days leading up to the fight. I doubt they could cut and hydrate 7 days consecutively.

Are you also an outsider to boxing and collegiate wrestling? Weight classes exist for a reason.

Ban weight cutting but stop testing for PEDs. Worked for Pride.
