He was good for 96 with a 4 seam fastball. His cutter shattered a shite ton of bats and is one of the most unhittable pitches of all time. He's one of my favorite pitchers of all time.

Randy Johnson slider
Nolan Ryan fastball
Pedro Martinez changeup
Maddox painting that outside corner

I thought Girardi was saying the Cubs wore him out last year. How is he throwing 102?

Mariona had that wicked cutter, it was his movement more than his velocity.

Chapman is nowhere Mariano's level.

Rivera:

1.000 WHIP

8.2 Stikeouts per 9

89.1 Save percentage

Chapman

1.016 WHIP

15.0 Strikeouts per 9

89.7% Save Percentage

How does it feel to completely let ESPN manipulate you?

Mo might be the second most overrated player of all time. Number 1 is Jeter.

Why are you laughing? They are both great players, but at the same time I agree they are both at the top of the list for being overrated

I filmed the whole thing in like two minutes

I don't understand the appeal to doing this. The one I remember vividly was the teen filming on his phone court side of Big Game Dame's dagger against Houston a couple years ago. That kid passed up a chance to witness a "remember it forever" moment to have it on his phone to presumably show off that he was there?

At least Swag's example is a little less ridiculous. Finding a closing inning from a particular game is nowhere near as easy.

How about comparing playoffs?

Chapman 3.10 ERA 1.18 ERA .4 HR/9 3.5 BB/9 11.1 K/9

Rivera .7 ERA .75 WHIP .1 HR/9 (absolutely insane) 1.3 BB/9 7 K/9

I know Chapman has a longgg career ahead of him, but he'd have to pitch 70 straight scoreless innings to get his postseason ERA down to Rivera's.

And Rivera is still grossly overrated by most

Many say he is one of the best pitchers of all time. Which is laughable

Explain. The average fastball in the MLB has gone from 89 to 92 over the last two decades. That seems like a natural progression

Just by watching the games. Guys don't appear to be throwing 96 then it pops up on the gun. Some guys appear to be throwing that hard while others don't. For example eric walker for lsu throws low 90's mostly high 80's if you believe the radar during the cws he was throwing 94-96
