Logic has no place in this argument.

It would be interesting. Computers can't handle things like weather, injuries, trends, etc. I know some have a recency bias component, but that's not usually their main model.
This is better than the clown show CFP committee for real.
At least you know what needs to be done.
Incentivize what you want to (no FCS games, play P5 teams OOC, etc.) and call it a fricking day. Live with an outlier if it comes because that's just how these things work.

Here’s the difference. Number 13 got put in their appropriate place by number 1. Alabama at 5 lost to a team almost 10 spots below them. Yeah, they’re going to drop a bunch of places. That’s how it’s supposed to work.
This is the only argument needed against that.
There's definitely some posturing it seems to let the committee explain why they kept OSU at the top, but I don't get the complaining about bama. People were complaining that they stayed #5. Complaining about FPI because bama was above LSU, but they have 2 losses and a hurt Tua. Now they're exactly where they should be and there's still complaining.
The ones to focus on are the obvious posturing of Cincy and Wisconsin.

They're just positioning UW to jump into the playoffs with a win this weekend.

All of Ohio St's ranked wins are ranked better in the CFP than the AP poll.
None of LSU's wins are ranked better in the CFP than the AP poll.

So people that are paying attention to what’s going on vs a bunch of hack writers who look at box scores and then cast votes. Got it.

It doesn't make any sense to jump Utah in the last poll. It makes me think Utah is in with a win.
Yep, unless LSU loses
Then it’ll still remain
OSU
Georgia
Clempson
LSU

If you’d look at it objectively you’d realize it was logical thinking.

You don’t think that’s a little suspect?

Wisky’s best win is over #16
In addition, Florida played not one but TWO FCS teams, and considering, Wisconsin is also rated considerably higher by the computers, I don’t see how ranking Wisconsin one spot above Florida is controversial whatsoever.

About the same as playing Illinois twice

By a large margin at that.

How's that USCe team these days?
Yet Georgia is ranked #4

quote:Fake news. As of last week, the bottom 25 had a 2-22 record vs FCS, and Illinois is better than bottom 25.

The committee? I’m not sure what to think of them. They don’t apply standards equally to all teams. Hell I don’t think they have a set of standards. Right now it looks like they just pull up the simulated BCS rankings and tweak them a bit here and there and spit them out.
I think the whole recusing yourself if your school is a topic is stupid. Sure, you don’t get to be part of the conversation but you sure as hell deserve to know what’s said in there.

Vandy got crushed at home by bottom 25 UNLV as well. They're killing the SEC's numbers I bet

What's your beef with SOR?
Doesn’t count games equally.
What makes you think that's faulty?

AP poll
So, to recap the amazing points you brought to the thread, A1abama and Michig8n dropped proportionately and the garbage AP poll supports the CFP rankings.
Good stuff.
