$500,000 fine for the head coach for every injury that’s deemed fake after the game

After 3 fines, it goes to $1,000,000 per fake injury.

Player is also suspended for the next game.

Fixed!

About to see some walk-ons run on the field only to immediately pull a hamstring.
If it’s worth it to do this, then Saban was probably right.

Y’all remember when offenses would be doin shite and then the middle linebacker and a safety would be reading the offense and set up the defense to defend the play and then they’d snap the ball and we got to see whose preparation and execution won each play?

That was fun.

Basketball on grass isn’t as fun, imo.

Hate on Lane, but he was one of the first ones to say it was a problem that needed to be addressed. The NCAA didn’t and in true Kiffin fashion, he started doing it every chance he got.

Any injured player would be sidelined the rest of the drive. Coaches could use a timeout to reinstate player.

This would help for most of the field, but wouldn't do much in goal to go situations.

I mean, if the offense doesn’t sub, pretty easy to make the defense regret this choice real quick.

That is a little harsh and will keep guys from going down.
with the way the rule as it’s written is being exploited by kiffin and others im fine with alittle harsh. Like others have said it’ll probably force guys that could make it to the sideline but are just milking it to get to the sideline.

As a coach of mine told us once. "If the game stops so we can take you off the field, then you won't be going back. You can stretch on the sideline. They can tape you on the sideline. They can put a shoulder or finger back in place on the sideline. If you stop the game then that means you are injured and not hurt, and I'm not playing an injured player." An injury timeout is for an injury, not a hurt. Get off the field, get treatment, and then get back out there and help your team. If you are the cause of an injury timeout then sitting the rest of the drive at minimum should be fine since you are injured.

I always got off the field when I could because I didn’t want my mom to worry

I’d go further

If assisted from the field.
Out for the half.

IF they are injured, they need help.

root cause of this issue - hurry up offenses not letting defenses get ready or substitute?

I guess we should line up, ask the defense if they are ready, tell the defense what the play is and then start the play.
