I think we will end up with, most weeks, ABC showing a 330 (all times eastern) and a 800 SEC game. There will also be a 1100 / 330 / 800 tripleheaeder on SEC Network, and a day game and a night game between ESPN2 and ESPNU. When there is more than 7 SEC home games on a weekend, they will put more on ESPNU / ESPN+ / SEC Network+

ACC will have the 700 ESPN game most weeks. A few weeks they will trade this for the ABC 800 slot. They will then have another couple of windows on ESPN2/ESPNU and the balance to ACC Network.

ESPN will pick up a split package for the Big XII with some 1100 / 300 games for ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU, and will pick up a very small Pac 12 package for some late night games across ESPN / ESPNU.

Everyone is going to be ok. Most Saturdays nights will feature a B1G game OTA and an SEC game OTA.

What happens when NBC wants Notre Dame in primetime? Big Ten gets bumped to peacock? NBC broadcasted two ND games in primetime last season.

Really hate the SEC is going to be 100% ESPN. ESPN is such a shite product. Production quality is terrible.

People hate on CBS but the production quality for CBS and NBC is top notch. The Big 10 will have a superior TV product if this happens.

What does this mean for the 3:30 Sec games? You serious Clark?

I must be having a brain fart. Clearly I haven’t been paying attention. I thought the SEC had the 3:30 slot on CBS

SEC's deal with CBS ends after the 2023 season and ESPN takes over the SEC media rights in 2024. I'm not sure when this new Big Ten deal will start. If it starts in 2023, I'm not sure how CBS will handle it if they are still broadcasting SEC games. But by 2024, it won't matter because the SEC will no longer be broadcast by CBS.

Highly pissed at CBS for lowballing the SEC and not willing to pay fair market value, but willing to give the B1G big money because they have the "New York and LA" markets. Do these people realize that no one and i do mean no one in New York gives a damn about Rutgers. I guess you can say that there are huge populations of Michigan and Ohio State and Penn State grades in NY, but is it really enough to give you the eyeballs to generate the ad revenue? Do they think the huge asian population at UCLA will start caring about football?

Think about all the people who follow Big 10 football that live in Chicago, Boston, Philly, D.C., Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Milwaukee, Cincy....

You could start watching Alabama vs. Auburn, switch over to a Yankees/Red Sox game in the 2nd inning, finish the baseball game and switch back to the Alabama/Auburn game and there's 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

Something like 6 of the top 10 fanbases are B1G teams.

Am I misinterpreting this? Fox, CBS, and NBA will pay various amounts of over $300 million a year giving the Big 10 over 1 billion in TV rights to split among 16 teams? While the SEC will be getting $300 million from ESPN to show games between SEC and ESPN?

That's what it sounds like, but this cannot be correct is it? our conference is going to make less that 1/3 the money that the big 10 does for basically the same amount of time?

Yeah, they're schools with huge alumni bases. I mean you've got 40,000-50,000 students at Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, etc.

But they do give a damn about Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State. In the Northeast they follow the Big Ten and ND in college football. When Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin and Michigan State come to Rutgers. You'll find as many Michigan, Penn State, Michigan State and Ohio State fans in Upstate New York as Syracuse.

I gotta say getting three real networks all to televise your games is pretty awesome.

You could have Wisconsin, Michigan, Michigan State, and Penn State wearing out that Nooner window on FOX, Ohio State will live on CBS for their big national 3:30 game, and then USC/UCLA will dominate the NBC evening slot.

They do not want the New York market because of Rutgers. Rutgers is just an excuse to get into the New York market.
