Owner Dan Gilbert has offered Chauncey Billups a five-year contract to head up the Cavaliers front office, but Billups has yet to accept, sources with knowledge of the talks told The Athletic

Guess ol Dan only needs to only interview one person. What could possibly go wrong.

Chauncey Billups and Tyronn Lue will be good for about 10 wins when LeBron heads to LA.

It doesn't matter who the Cavs GM is. They have no cap room and no one is going to give them a star player without trade raping them

Chauncey should of taken this the moment he was offered. He'll be fired in a year and get to have a 4 year vacation. Gilbert loves paying people to NOT work for him.

What makes him qualified for the position? I didn't realize he had done anything after his playing career other than being on tv to talk nba as a guest.

When will someone awesomely give Charles Barkley their GM spot? We all know he wants one.

He's more qualified then some shuck that could never play the game.

I don't know why people think some shucks that couldn't hack as players have more clout then the free rare men on this earth that were actually good enough to play

Because I'd rather have the MIT grad who can understand the complexities of the collective bargaining agreement.

The ability to play basketball at a high level is vastly different than being a gm.

Have you heard Chauncey talk about the game? I wouldn't trust him with the 1st overall pick with MJ on the board.

Jesus, Not only is Lebron an idiot for wanting the black GM he thinks will be the easiest to push around, but Gilbert is a retard for putting together a team that MIGHT win 10 games when Lebron leaves.

This has been said more than a few times but not having the ability to speak well on LIVE TV doesn't indicate Whether or not someone knows the game. We know billiups interviewed very very well with atl and is thought of highly around the league. As for the intricacies of the salary cap you can always hire people for that.

It's people like you who run a business into the ground and then blame the gov't for non existent regulations you never had to deal with, tax brackets you didn't make enough to even be in, and customers protesting you for you being a dick when in reality you had a shite product and didn't know what the frick you were doing.

My post wasn't about the way he talks tho. It's how he evaluates players/teams.
