In his 25 years at catholic Weiner is 233-62 for a winning % of 78.98. In his 17 years at Rummel Roth is 150-42 with a winning percentage of 78.12. Pretty much the exact same. I also constanly hear people complain about Roth coaching himsself out of victories. Sounds very similar to Catholic as well

Rummel generally doesnt lose to inferior opponents in the playoffs.
by and large the teams that have eliminated catholic have simply been - better... can think of 2-3 for each that they should not have lost...
including a seminfinal loss to a district rival...

96 would have easily beaten 06, no matter what Weiner said that year to make the 06 team feel good.

state playoff appearances CHS-29 Rummel-23. LINK
So it appears that CHS is slightly better than Rummel. But pretty much the same

Rumble has only been around since the late 60's. How old is catholic?
And Rummels best team have lost to eventual state champs 4-5 times. We are talking all time great LA HS teams, esp the 2 Evangel teams

Are you kidding, Catholic has lost to West Monroe three times-twice in the semis once in quarters on their way to the Championship and once to Acadiana-semis on the way to one and once to Evangel-semis. Thats 5 times losing to the eventual champion and thats just the last 15 years! And Catholic only made it to one playoff before Rummel was a school so it would still be Chs-28 Rummel-23

Just admit Rummel isn't better than CHS. Im not even saying CHS is better. Im saying they are the BR and Nola equivalent of each other
Posted on 9/20/11 at 2:17 pm to lsupride87
So how old is Catholic? You don't think establishing a football program earlier is beneficial to that stat you are throwing out?
Rummel has missed the playoffs once under Roth over 16 or 17 years

80 ehret - bi district - ehret lost in semis.
76 covington(won state - i believe they tied and lost on first downs)
74 - lost to... fair park runner up

careful guys, mess with Earl and he'll threaten to have you banned.
more importantly than CHS vs. Rummel-who cares about Rummel in thread clearly about CHS?
Posted on 9/20/11 at 2:22 pm to Lester Earl
In the playoff stat look at the dates in the link I posted. Catholic only made two appearances before Rummel mad their first in '72
Posted on 9/20/11 at 2:23 pm to Lester Earl
Old as shite. Way older that Rummel. Im just saying that since Rummel has been around we are very very similar in football. I dont think CHS is better. Im saying there the same. Why won't you admit that. The facts show they are eerily similiar

Catholic fans are calling for their coaches head for a reason
Posted on 9/20/11 at 2:31 pm to Lester Earl
I know, its because he has shown he cant get it done even with the talent. Look man, I dont have anything against Rummel, i think its a great football program. I was just pointing out that it is the Nola equal to CHS

Who do you think Catholic's best teams have lost to?
1990 - Lost to State Champ Ruston (Finals)
1996 - Lost to State Champ WM (Semis)
1999 - Lost to State Champ Evangel (Semis)
2006 - Lost to State Champ Acadiana (Semis)
