Sid-Local Legend! I think this guy is going to be the next Southern University Head Football Coach if he doesn't get the CHS job. Still think that Mr. Tony Franklin (Aaron Vice) gets the CHS job. Just look at the job he did at Bishop Sullivan as the OC. He really has Redemptorist going in the right direction.

Do you know who the FS on the '95 team was? He was huge; probably about 6'3 210.
Not sure who the FS was - Brian Williams? He wasn't what I'd call huge though. I know our SS was David Beach.

When I was in high school and a Catholic team was next on the schedule, we didnt even practice that week and we let the scrubs start. Catholic school boys were weak in my day.
you must not have lined up against st. aug in the 70s..

this is what I never understood .. with ALL the soccer figs at that school, he couldn't find ONE that could kick a football 30 yards through two tall pipes ?
TigahRag can you tell us how it was when you played at CHS? Oh wait I forgot you just claim you did.

Ever, as in Catholic HS history or LA football history?
hopefully you are talking Catholic HS history. The team in the 90s with the future NFL players on it, maybe. The team strong safety is talking about,

this is laughable lesters.....
96 team was the best overall they had...
minor, applewhite, a young moscona..., greg brown,
but were two touchdowns less than WM.. and were lucky to get past shaw...

I'm biased, but that team was stacked with d1/d1aa talent at every position. Great depth and slot of talent. Maybe not the sheer talent that those mid 90s teams had, but across the board there was more talent depth wise

96 had 06 in terms of the skill positions, but 06 by far had the better OL and DL

Julius wasn't 5'10'' in stilettos. He was about 225 during football season though.

Yeah, Major Applewhite and Travis Minor were terrible in college.
Donnie Jones sucked as well.

Im not saying Catholic is the best team ever but they are definately one of the most talented teams consistently. A couple of years ago they ranked 2nd for number of NFL players. LINK. They are on par with a team like Rummel in terms of success in the last 20 or so years

Rummel>CHS
Rummel generally doesnt lose to inferior opponents in the playoffs.
plus Rummel has won the recent matchups including a playoff game i believe vs Catholic
