IIRC, he's got 4 children. 2 boys have autism. That's not some sort of damning issue that should affect his ability/worthiness of the opportunity to coach at CHS.

If there's any issue with Sid from the admin's standpoint, it has to be something other than that BS.

I was talking about why he constantly moves. I'm not hating on his situation.

He's a coach. How hard can it be to stick him teaching a PE class? Hell, how would that be any different than Weiner?

Again, I could be wrong, but he doesn't have the correct degrees to be classified for a teaching position I think. He may have burned some bridges as well while there from what I was told.

He would be the perfect coach for the program for sure.

Honestly, if the line would have been a bit bigger, we would have stomped all teams with our offense. Minor was better than Dunn in high school IMO. Saw Dunn and played with Minor. ETA

Thats the thing, we didnt have one OL shorter than 6'1, and less than 240. 4 D1 caliber players on the offensive and defensive lines.

I will give it you; it used to baffle me at the stockpiles of talent those teams had. That era from 92-98 at catholic was unreal. Those track teams coach boo had have to be some of the best HS track teams the nation has ever seen. Robby Leblanc could possibly be one of the best louisiana HS athletes of all time. His records are untouchable at catholic.

The 4X1 splits Minor, Calvin Williams, Boone, and Shanklin ran were faster than alot of D1 teams splits

Not many teams can say there backup QB is a D1 QB as well

I'm still waiting for a Bear Facts article about those teams, in the sports sections.

Coach Boo = one of the best HS coaches the region has ever seen.

The fact we didn't win a couple of titles is the reason of this thread. When Warrick Dunn is the Qb, and Kevin Franklin is the RB, you should win a title.

When you replace them with Major Applewhite and Travis Minor, you should be winning more titles. The talent in the 90's was sick.

its funny that only Catholic grads and players see their teams are being awesome and overly talented. Absolutely hilarious.

Do you think the CHS teams in the mid 90's were not talented?
I think your post count is fricking hilarious FWIW.

I was on this team. Definitely, should have won at least one and maybe 2. Sophmore year we played Ruston, I'm not sure LSU wins that game.

'91 team was an utter mess. IIRC, there was a lot of drama b/n the O and D. Lost to a Thibodeaux team despite having had the better talent.

'92 team was tied at the half with a scrappy arse Neville in the quarters I think. I don't remember the size difference being huge (I could be mistaken), but they just ended up overpowering the defense. Don't remember why the O could muster more than 14pts. and if turnovers were part of the problem. Final was 34-14 I think.

top heavy. obviously never good enough to win a title. Probably because they had people like you as the 2nd line of defense and bring water to travis minor

This was a hot ticket at Olympia every game. Everyone would show up for this game.

One of the best teams the state has produced.

Wasnt that the ruston team with 25 D1 signees in one year?

Is this the squad that had a neville TE score on a long TD pass because a CB was looking in the backfield? Coach Garidel used to tell us DBs this story constantly. He said that one play probably ruined their best chance to win it all. Seem like it burned him up a good bit inside.

Nice burn. Never said I was a big time player on the team.

Even now, I just don't stack up to a poster of your quality. I'll work on it though.

Do you know who the FS on the '95 team was? He was huge; probably about 6'3 210. It wasnt greg brown. I saw the game you guys played vs Jesuit in the dome. It was applewhite and minors junior year. Another year we shouild have won it all

then stop talking about Catholic like it is De La Salle HS California. Catholic is lucky if they are even a top 10 LA program over the last 20 years much less some talented powerhouse with 25 D-1A signees every year
