Is this true? What happened to local Friday Night Lights? Is that why they are traveling?

The top programs have that problem from time to time. Zachary has had very few seasons lately with 10 games.

the Ascension schools won't play them anymore and they got out of their district

they've been scheduling out of state schools with games in Baton Rouge and they go out of state for road games

I’m not surprised. There are fewer and fewer kids playing football these days compared with years ago when you’d have 80-100 players on a team.

As opposed to before the Ascension Parish teams got out of the district with Catholic, right?

How many Quarterfinal or deeper appearances for EA, St Amant, and Dutchtown in the last 15 years? Maybe 2 or 3?

Some teams play with kids from their community. Some teams put together all star teams from a 3 to 4 parish area. There is a split for a reason.

That might be the trend in other states but not in Louisiana and Mississippi

They schedule out of state schools
Bc either the admin , parents, or both think they are “too good” for local teams

Kind of a “look at me “ thing… we’re going to TX to play HS football… we are so great..

I mean that’s great, but if kids there want something better, do you blame them?
