Yeah remember that stretch of 3 SEC games where Beck threw 2 TDs/7 INTs

If there were no injury, I'd agree.

QBR Rating for 2024 season:

#8 - Carson Beck - 80.9
#10 - Garrett Nussmeier - 80.0

if Beck is not SEC material, then neither is Nuss

there were moments where neither looked sec material, that's for sure

IMO they both suffered from the lack of having a true #1

I mean, Nuss had a not much different stretch from second half A&M through Florida, if we're being honest

Georgia should post a wanted ad:
Wanted, QB, incumbent fire, need replacement that does not throw interceptions or tantrums about money. Apply within.

Absolutely the right call by him. He can make good money in 2025 then go to the 2026 draft hopefully healthier as a possible 1st rounder. He’s at best a 4th rounder right now.

Miami is gonna give him $3M. Watch.

I think the real move is you make 7+ million over 3 years starting at various schools knowing you may not last in the NFL. Spend 2 million in college living the fing life, and save $5 million

Then even if you don't make the NFL longterm, you have a better nest egg than 99.99% of people will ever have

He has a chance to set himself up for life with another payday. If he’s smart about his money.

His NFL career won’t be long lasting.

Are you against people having opportunities?

He's not even good.

What Horse whisperer is in his ear selling nonsense?

I guess that's why he's leaving....

He knows his job at Georgia is toast and he ain't NFL material. Strike while the Iron is hot I guess.

Makes sense the ACC makes Average QB's look great.

Not picking on you tEgg, but a huge pet peeve of mine is when people say “so and so” is not “SEC material.” That’s just stupid. There are 16 SEC schools. Carson Beck and Nuss are unquestionably “SEC material.” To suggest otherwise is just retarded. I think when people say this, what they REALLY mean is “so and so” is not “All SEC material.”

It’s a bit semantic, but c’mon. In no world, in no era, are Carson Beck and Garrett Nussmeir not “SEC material.” I’d argue they’re both “All SEC material,” or certainly capable of being, but to suggest they’re not good enough to be SEC QBs is just laughable. Nuss will probably preseason 1st team All-SEC and in the top 5 in Heisman odds. If Beck winds up at Miami, he’ll be right there will Klubnick at pre-season All-ACC and will be top 10 in Heisman odds. Would likely be higher were it not for the injury. You don’t have to win the Heisman and be a top 5 NFL pick to be “SEC material.”

Again, not directed at you, just a semantical argument that is so fricking stupid. And it applies to way more positions than just QB. More of a pet peeve about how LSU fans talk about LSU players.

And all of those "experts" we peons aren't supposed to question were saying he was a possible #1 overall pick just 4 months ago
