Carr relationship with Raiders "fractured" because he cried over an injury, reportedly

Team is broken. Good job, Chucky.

Marcus Thompson II of TheAthletic.com reports that Carr currently has a “fractured relationship” with his teammates. The reportedly fractured relationship between Carr and his teammates is rooted in a loss of confidence in the quarterback, as exacerbated by game film from the London contest against the Seahawks that “showed what looked like him crying after being sacked and injuring his arm.”
“They saw his face,” Thompson writes. “They heard his whimper. They witnessed him explain on the sidelines. They assuredly watched it again in film session. It’s hard to see how Carr can lead this team again.”
It was indeed curious, to say the least, to see video of what appeared to be Carr crying in the melting-face way that a kid would cry after falling off his bike. If Thompson’s report is accurate, Carr’s teammates regard it as something worse than curious.
This doesn’t mean the Raiders will move on from Carr, but whether and to what extent the locker room believes in Carr could be a factor in coach Jon Gruden’s ultimate assessment as to whether Carr should or shouldn’t be the quarterback in 2019.

I am still not sure if Carr is good, but if he is, then his teammates are a bunch of idiots for losing confidence in him over a whimper.

OBJ cried when he was injured.
And we all know he is quite a leader.

Has Carr lost confidence in his teammates for sucking at football?

I don’t get it.... he broke his ankle and didn’t cry.
So if he “cried” over hurting his arm, he must have really been hurt.

what happened to Carr?
when he broke his leg it was so nonchalant. he was just like "hey guys i broke my leg" and barely had any reaction

I’m legit confused. We’ve seen guys cry after getting injured before. It’s usually out of frustration or despair knowing their season is over.
What’s different about this?

It’s funny how much Carr’s relationship with Jon Gruden and the Raiders is starting to resemble RG Knee’s relationship with Jay Gruden and the Redskins.

I'm guessing most of the locker room thinks Mack deserved the money Carr got and were waiting for anything to turn on him

Jesus Christ that team is a mess.

I don’t take this as crying over the injury per se.
This is more like the straw that broke the camel’s back to him. Nothing is going right for him or the team... week after week... then to top it all off, he’s injured. So he cries a little out of frustration. He’s human.
It’s ridiculous that he should “lose” the confidence of the team after that. All that tells me is that he never had it. The question to ask about the Raiders is can they be led? Do they have confidence in anyone?

That’s great but Tebow is the GOAT crying bitch.

I’ll be 100% honest — I’ve followed the Raiders for years and I’ve never heard of this Thompson guy.
I’ll wait to hear something similar from one of the respected Bay Area sports reporters.

Luke Keuchley cried like a baby over his 83rd concussion, and I'm pretty sure the Panthers still look up to him as a leader. This story seems much ado about nothing.
