Ditching the black outline, and utilizing more blue are subtle, but a good improvement. The big improvement is the shitcanning of the 90's Thunder In Paradise script logo.

Nike will come in and try to change everyone's logo and jersey. I hope some teams with classic logos (Packers, Saints, Cowboys, Redskins, Steelers, etc) have enough balls to stand up to Nike and keep their logos.

Have all made slight changes over the years (Redskins have been relatively big changes) on the order of the changes made to the Panthers logo.

Nike had nothing to do with the update to the Panthers logo. It was an in-house job by the NFL. Taken from the Panthers' website:
