Yeah this team is disappointing to say the least. Another game.... three hits, that can’t happen if you want to win a pennant. The GOAT cardinals are nipping at our heels and the brew crew are loaded. Prof has to go out and hopefully carry this team to a big series win because we damn sure know if Javy or Rizz don’t hit we ain’t scoring much.

Even if that happened, the Cubs would still get the 2nd wildcard spot as the NL Central holds both. Your Cardinal fan baseball knowledge is showing.

Zo been raking all year which surprised me very much because he did not have a good year last year and I thought he was done at age 38...good for him.

Murphy is even in a mini-slump which is bad because he is a serious liability in the field. If he don't hit he's gonna hurt you. He did it to Q last night but luckily Wilson saved his arse.

As a reds fan I’ve just enjoyed the mindfrick we’ve been to the Dodgers.

Especially when you only have a 2 game lead on the final wildcard spot playing .500 ball down the stretch.

Cards better focus on the Dodgers. Catching the cubs is an idea of the past

A win tonight and Mil is really on the ropes. If they’d go 10-5 to finish, we’d have to play under .500 (8-9) just for them to tie. Cards would be all but finished

That was a listless performance by the Cubs last night, far too many of those this year. There were a lot of line drive outs and bad hitting fortune early but that's part of baseball. No runs off a starter who's stuff really wasn't that good....that's not going to cut it in big games like that.

Let me get this right. Cards should totally forget about a 3.5 game gap because its out of reach, and really buckle up and focus on the dodgers 2 game gap? Even if the cubs lose and cards win tonight, should we focus more on the 3 game gap from the dodgers more so than the 2.5 from the cubs? jw

Was good winning the series against the bucs, but I just hate it when we have a shot at the sweep and can't pull it off

Worst thing to happen is Milwaukee win Division

their fans and players get some attitude, like they have been there, and are royalty. You have to win something

Tough series with Dodgers, their bats woke up yesterday, and i expect them to play like this is their season on the line. which it can be, if they lose 3 or 4.

I hate Mo

Team needed a bullpen arm, especially a lefty, and some infield depth, and passed on Murphy, Freese, etc. And instead picked up fat adams.

I never root for them to lose, but Mo needs to be shite canned, and if they make playoffs, the circle jerk for him continues. He made the mess.

Considering you actually play the Dodgers this week, yeah. You should worry about the Dodgers being 2 games back.

As soon as this is all over and the cubs win the division the narrative amongst tBestFansInBaseball will be “well the cards were never supposed to compete this year anyway so it shouldn’t have been that close”
