If the Cards don't win the division I hope the Brewers do so we can eliminate the Cubs in the play in game.

How sweet that would be

A little salty about our last postseason meeting? Must sting knowing that the last time the Cardinals made the playoffs (3 years ago), the Cubs are the team that sent them home.

LOL

This is like a Marlin fan talking smack. Which the Marlins have more WS titles than the Cubs in past 100 years.

Mo is a horrendous GM/Baseball operations

this from Bob Nightengale

quote:

The greatest thing to happen to the #Stlcards was the #Bluejays’ rejection of the Cards’ trade proposal this winter for Josh Donaldson. They offered two players, a Jays official said, that included rookie of year candidate Jack Flaherty. The Jays turned it down.

Cause Mo knew Donaldson would be hurt all year?

You mean like the 40+ games he missed last year because of injury??? Dickjaw?

yeah, making deals for Injured 31 year olds, with Top end young pitchers is fricking brilliant.

And? Molina has been hurt every year I can remember. Still valuable.

Mo would have taken 120 games of Donaldson this year.

Eh, one of the insiders replied to that and said the Cards backed out.

I actually like Mo a decent bit, he gets way too much hate.

We have a shite ton of top tier pitching prospects, so it makes sense. No one knew or thought Weaver would regress.

Your crystal ball said Flaherty would be this good?

Exactly. It’s a crapshoot which of these prospects pan out and which ones don’t. Even the best GM’s swing and miss every now and then.

Strop's availability for the playoffs is up in the air. Morrow is on the 10 day DL and is looking to return by next week.
