Dave Kingman at this point.

Kingman would be a borderline HOF in today’s game

David Bote a fricking gain.

He's a lock for the post season roster by now.

The simple truth is that the Cardinals just aren’t beta males like the rest. The Dodgers have Puig who cries in his room on a daily basis which clearly rubs off on his teammates. The Nationals are just genetically beta, always failing when any opportunity presents itself. The Rockies are littered with beta scrubs that pad their stats in Coors and are garbage everywhere else. The Brewers are really the only contending wild card team that isn’t full of cucks.

Thank you for providing a shining example of the average Cardinal fan’s intellect.

I just bet your tweets appear regularly on the @BestFansStLouis twitter feed.

His BA is nosediving but when he gets a hit it's clutch.

I will say off the bat I thought it was a no doubt out (I think Bote did too judging from his posture). The centerfielder was either shading him a good bit to left-center and had a long run or just mis-read the fly.

I've watched it 3 times. I think it was closer to being Harper's ball than anything. Center fielder actually looked like he was shaded towards right a bit

Yeah, whatever it was I think there was a defensive mistake because that ball was up there a long time. But I'll take it.

Drew Smyly (tommy john) won't be an option for the Cubs down the stretch as the team has determined there's not enough time to get him ready in a pennant race. He's feeling good, having pitched an inning in the minors, but the timing isn't right with just a few weeks left and minor league seasons complete.
This blows.

They won one game by one run and the Cubs own the season series 10-7.

No and the Cubs are giving away games. Game 1 in Milwaukee, a walk, two hit by pitches and a walk-off fielders choice where KB should have thrown home.

Tonight wild pitch. Cubs pen is overworked again. Was a strength all year but they are out of gas at the end just like last year.

Big game tonight and I don't trust Q for big games so Cubs best score a bunch.

Lester is hurt too.

I hope the Brewers and Cards both jump the Cubs and they miss the playoffs entirely.

Even if that happened, the Cubs would still get the 2nd wildcard spot as the NL Central holds both. Your Cardinal fan baseball knowledge is showing.

Best record in the NL

For me it's been endless frustration and disappointment and lots of underachievement, but as you say...still best record in the NL.

For the longest time it was the starting pitching that was a huge problem. But the last 5 weeks or so that has been the Cubs overwhelming strength. Now the Cubs can't hit (even Murphy looks lost at the plate the last few games) and the bullpen is struggling.

Still....best record. Not sure how to take always being pissed but having that best record. I guess it's the old Nick Saban process over results thing.
