Didn't the city of houston have the opportunity to help the oilers build a new stadium, elect not to and thats what drove him to Tennessee? If so yall are mad at the wrong person and I don't blame him for not wanting to give his brand back to them.

I discussed this above, yes it was a mistake to let the Oilers leave. It was short sighted all the way around. Cleveland did the same thing but the name and history stayed. It’s still petty and stupid to keep the name and history especially since they changed the name anyway

Bud wanted a new stadium not long after the city dumped millions into renovating the Astrodome for him. That's why they resisted.

This. I think Bud Adams is a pathetic evil sleaze, but he got the shaft from Bob Lanier and others in Houston and I don’t fault him for moving. It was short sighted by both parties. Adams team is not worth as much as Houston (though a lot that apparently is the stadium deal the Texans have that our esteemed friend Owlie says Adams would never have gotten). And Houston was very lucky no one in LA could get their shite together, the NFL wanted that 32nd team in Los Angeles.
